      yeaaaa like that one. Harper's. not really bombs. Prince Fielder's home run was an absolute moon shot. It wasn't even at apex when it hit the catwalk. That could have legitimately been a 600 foot home run.

      Is like he knew it was coming and the way he act and the Astros is just disgusting. That's one of the game that the Dodgers should had won. They where hitting the sh*t out of astro pitching in 2 of those 3 games and like the series was tied, the Dodgers would had won in 6 games

    I remember reading a news article a long time ago where someone described the first clip in this video and was convinced that were it not for the catwalk, it could have been the furthest recorded hit in MLB history. When I first read it, I thought they were exaggerating. Now I'm not so sure.

    That first clip looked more like a hanging slider. Hanging sliders are essentially batting practice fastballs thrown by coaches.
    Radar gun shows 84 MPH, and the grip/movement seems to indicate more slider.
    Announcers do not always get the pitch right. Probably didn't see grip nor hand movement nor check pitch speed.
    During Cesar Ramos' career - his average velocity for slider seems to be in the 83 to 84.5 MPH range while his average velocity for curveball seems to be in the 70-73 MPH range.

    A hanging curveball is a curveball that is thrown in a way that makes it easier to hit. A good example of one is a slow curveball that is thrown down the middle. If you get one of these babies thrown to you while your at the plate, swing at it.

    I dont know if 5:30 is considered a curve ball. Kershaws curve ball is a lot slower and has a lot more spin. But his fastball is usually slow, so an 89 mph fastball isn't unreasonable from him
