Great video showing honest problems encountered and practical solution. There’s some channels that would edit the trouble bit out. Cheers, well done.
Thank you.. we want to show everything not just the good bits.
James - really clear logical explanation and easy to follow. Virtually all these vlogs teach us something and further explanation of the honing process would be great
Thank you. I can do make a honing video soon, I'm saving for a machine that shows the crosshatch and finish so I might wait until I've bought that.
Smooth operation. Again. Cheers
Thank you
Yes a peaks and valleys video please
Ok I will plan that for you
Excellent video and explanation of the work being carried out!
Thanks Kevin
Good morning James, watching your video on the Guideliner installation.
I feel for you having the install problem.
Been there and done that.
I liked the original Kline tool, it was slower but rarely ever had an issue.
Recently I measured the install tool and the problem is the ring is oversized.
The part that supports the O.D. of the guide.
I will do a video on the subject of the problems and issues related.
Another problem is some of the guideliners are not manufactured correctly.
It is not the Kliners, they are fine.
I do really like guideliners,, properly installed and they are great!.
I like to guide hone and put a slight cross hatch.
Nice work James.👍👍
Have a great day.
Thanks Ed, yes I did run the hone through them but forgot to film.. I like the liners too.. hope you're well.
Great explanation for a seldom heard of procedure.
By the way, my '43 flathead you did the small end bushes in is running sweet AF 😉🍻
Thanks mate. Glad to read that.
When do you start racing again , that pit crew looks like they would take some handling I think I would fit in .
Kit from down under
Racing started 2 weeks ago, but I fell on a rolling road at 70 mph and found out I've got really high blood pressure, so I'm sitting a couple out.. your welcome to come and join the team
Why not just turn up a set of guides
You can buy them and machine the heads to fit.. thin walls are a great repair though
Looks like you need some new honing oil, must have had that oil 30 years atleast I reckon!!!
Thank you, would you like to treat me to some please
Absolutely I would, just tell me which brand and I'll make it happen xx
Ok I'll send you a link. It's called Quaker
