I'm building raised beds using pressure treated wood and flattened out 55 gallon drums. This is how I flatten them. The nibbler leaves a clean edge unlike a grinder, hacksaw, or reciprocating saw. Drums come in different thicknesses. This is a thin one. Thicker ones just take a longer time and more effort.

I am very happy with them. I have also roofed a firewood shed with the barrels. I am very happy with that too.
Might be time for an update on what I've used them for...
was that a nibbler or shears? looks like shears with the spiral it cut away
Yes. Metal shear from harbor freight. I have since moved on to a plasma cutter. It is quicker, quieter and neater.

Until the nibbled sparks an ignition and blows the roof and the guy doing the cutting through the roof. Unless the barrels didn’t have flammables
Been there. Got the t-shirt. Plasma cutter on a drum that got mixed in with the safe ones. I got blown 20 feet away but no shrapnel. The bottom blew off and the drum went straight up. I got lucky and I know it.
