- This is a video I know a lot of you have been asking for. Finally got some dogfights in against ReWorkz who's one of the best guys on console. Me on the other hand... Not quite as good haha.

Battlefield 4 is a first-person shooter video game developed by video game developer EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is a sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3 and was released in October 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360; then later in November for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Battlefield 4 was met with positive reception. It was praised for its multiplayer mode, gameplay and graphics, but was also criticized for its short and shallow single-player campaign mode, and for its numerous bugs and glitches in the multiplayer. It was a commercial success, selling over 7 million copies.[4]
Battlefield 4's multiplayer contains three playable factions-the United States, China, and Russia-fighting against each other, in up to 64-player matches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (24-Player on Xbox 360 and PS3). A newly reintroduced "Commander Mode", last seen in Battlefield 2142, gives one player on each team a real-time strategy-like view of the entire map and the ability to give orders to teammates. Also, the Commander can observe the battle through the eyes of the players on the battlefield, deploying vehicle and weapon drops to "keep the war machinery going", and order in missile strikes on hostile targets.[7][8] A spectator
On June 10, 2013, at E3, DICE featured the map "Siege of Shanghai", pitting the People's Liberation Army against the U.S. Marine Corps. The gameplay showcased Commander Mode; new weapons and vehicles; and the "Levolution" gameplay mechanic. The video displays the last of these at various points, including: a player destroying a support pillar to trap an enemy tank above it; and a large skyscraper (with an in-game objective on the top floor) collapsing in the center of the map, kicking up a massive dust cloud throughout the map and bringing the objective closer to ground level.[9] Levolution also includes effects such as shooting a fire extinguisher to fill the room with obscuring clouds, car alarms going off when stepped on, metal detectors going off once passed through, or cutting the power in a room to reduce others' visibility.[9][10]
The maps included in the main game are "Siege of Shanghai", "Paracel Storm", "Zavod 311", "Lancang Dam", "Flood Zone", "Rogue Transmission", "Hainan Resort", "Dawnbreaker", "Operation Locker" and "Golmud Railway".[11][12] The game modes on offer include Battlefield's Conquest, Domination and Rush; while adding two new game modes called Obliteration and Defuse, along with traditional game modes such as Team Deathmatch and Squad Deathmatch.[12][13]
The four kits from Battlefield 3 are present in Battlefield 4 with minor tweaks. The Assault kit must now wait for the defibrillator to recharge after reviving teammates in quick succession. The Engineer kit uses PDWs, and carbines are available to all kits. The support kit has access to the new remote mortar and the XM25 allowing for indirect suppressive fire. The Recon kit is now more mobile and is able to equip carbines, designated marksman rifles (DMRs), and C4. Sniping mechanics also give with the ability to zero in your sights (set an aiming distance), and equip more optics and accessories than previous Battlefield games. The Recon kit is still able to utilize the MAV, T-UGS, and the Radio Beacon.[14][15][16][17]
New vehicles have also been introduced. With the addition of the Chinese faction, new vehicles include the Type 99 MBT, the ZFB-05 armored car, and the Z-10W attack helicopter. Jets have also been rebalanced and put into two classes, "attack" and "stealth". The attack jets focus is mainly air-to-ground capabilities, while stealth jets focus mainly on air-to-air combat. Another vehicle added in Battlefield 4 is the addition of the RCB and DV-15 Interceptor attack boats, which function as heavily armed aquatic assault craft.
Customization options have also been increased in Battlefield 4, with all new camos available for every gun. A new "adaptive" camo has been introduced that can adapt the camo to the map being played without the player having to change camos every map. Camos can now be applied to jets, helicopters, tanks, transport vehicles and guns. Previously this option was introduced to parachutes but has been removed, emblems are now printed onto parachutes.

Yeah I’m down, my ping is really bad out of oce, LA I don’t lag as much.
This was amazing too watch. I don't have dogfights last longer a minute really if that? I use passive missiles and am on hardcore all the time so keeping visual isn't easy if the target knows you're on to them so I hit and run mostly unless I sense weakness which is 50/50 if I sense I'm being lured I'll dive or fly high and come back when I feel I'm not being noticed but if a pilot surprises me it brings me great joy. I've been flying every game they let me and I loved this content keep it up. Y'all should duo a lobby and uptown funk em up
This is fascinating to watch, almost like a game of chess. The gameplay you get from dog fighting is so unique.

Pretty awesome that a game can offer both great ground and air warfare simultaneously.

I'm a dogfighter from bf4 and bf3 and people don't realize that dogfighting actually exhausting when you go against the same type of pilot as you!! And I don't know why ground people hate us so much! To be good in a jet you really got to practice!! #Oohhsedagod # BAGM

I totally sympathize with this. I tried so much in BF5 Practice Range, but just can't figure out how to wrap my head around Flying & still sometimes accidentally crash myself... :(
After 2042 Practice Range comes available (2042 WILL have a Heli toting Practice Range, right!?) I can only hope I can ever learn how to Heli. I don't have BF 3 or 4 so i'll be starting from scratch on how to Heli Controls 101. I didn't even manage to figure out how to get a Heli to actually go FORWARD during the Open Beta...

Nice to see a content creator who sheds some light on dogfight in BF4, would be nice if you did a fight/interview against top pc pilots like Snickers, JoselMar, Alex_Miron, Speedlund etc, those are real beasts, perfect cutting and monstrous aim)
I'd definitely want to vs them. All of them would easily destroy me but it'd be a cool experience
If Silk AND all the other Top Pilots were in Jets/Planes & on the same side in a Match, I wonder how much Mass Salt Farming would be possible? :P (Maybe end up with a net total of more Salt than the Dead Sea...?)

As for team stacking, people just quit, at least if it's air superiority servers. That happens even with one top pilot these days. Top pilots vs top pilots is always fun though if you got 5-10 on each side. Utter chaos but super fun. You feel like one of those noobs again because you get shredded in less than a second and there is nothing you can do about it.
@@Speedlund Tbh after flying planes in 2042 I haven't touched dogfighting. In this current state, I don't even know if they'll be usable. Perhaps we can do some fights in 2042 if it's any good.
@@SilkOCE Sure, I'll deffinetly try out BF2042 jets around release before I make any conclusion. I hope it will be good enough to not have to go back to previous titles to have some good 1v1s.
That's what I like about flying planes, when two good pilots come across each other it's an epic duel that can last a long time.
man looking at this i can't imagine how bf6 dogfights will look like because planes will also have destruction like bf1 and bfv with the wings getting damaged and stuff.. and also just a bf6 idea: Jets & Bombers can have 1 big bomb that could level or destroy a big part of a skyscraper in real time physics based destruction. that would be epic :P
So, like a BF6 equivalent of the 4,000 pounder? (Am I remembering that right?)

This vid helped me a ton thx man! Especially with ECM timing, I wasnt that sure when exactly to use it. Sadly, Im not really imrpoving my DFing lately, cause there arent a lot of really good pilots in EU servers, so I mostly only have to DF noobs in public servers. And those pilots who still are better than me are real toxic, and only play on their own servers, where they'll instantly Kick or Bann you when you Kill them once. But yeah, Im hoping that Bf6 lives up to expectations and that the air combat is gonna be on the level as in bf4, although that is probably a little much to ask...
(also pls get addicted to bf4 again, that stream on thursday was POG)
Senf most pilots in dogfight servers are cool people. It's pilots in public that are usually douchebags and they still wouldn't last 2 turns in a dogfight server. Just join dogfight servers, they're a much better experience for dogfighting. There are a lot of active df servers on pc and ps4. Xbox is tougher
Yeah if you go into a df server or even practice on air superiority, that can be a good way to learn
@@SkySkywalker485 From what I’ve seen and heard from pilots that have played on both Xbox and PS4, pilots on PS4 are better. There’s not really any Xbox pilots I know of that could give the likes of Aqixtez good fights
@@uplightuk8924 oh yea. I meant it's harder to find active servers on xbox although lately they have been more. But yea, nobody on xbox can really compare to aqixtez. Plus on ps4 you had to deal with freelookers which xbox pilots probably would struggle with. They rely on getting quick angles with ecm.
There are plenty of good pilots in EU on PC wdym? Have you joined the dogfight server 'Patau'? You'll find the likes of Alex Miron, Snickers and ToninJet. Although ToninJet is Brazilian he is considered one of, if not the best on PC and plays in an EU server for the majority. Also most of these pilots play pubs as well, its not uncommon to find a decent pilot in public.
I can’t remember the video but one of the first BF3 videos I’ve ever seen on TH-cam was a jet montage set to Avicii Levels and this song and video brings me some absolute nostalgia of that, and the era. Good times.

Thanks man. Yep ReWorkz was very unkillable for me for the longest time. It's only recently that I've been able to get him a few times, learned so much from vsing him.

Actually you should checkout the underground dogfight scene, there are people who dedicate themselves to practicing in private servers. We have our own little dogfight community :)

Did u try to turn off the engine to make the enemy go in front of you and then turning it on?
In bfv stalling works maybe 5/10 times. Stalling doesn't work in this game. If you hit the breaks they will likely have enough time to shoot you. Considering the pilots in this video there's a good chance you'll get shot down no matter what.
So does switching between 3rd and 1st person decrease your turn radius or something in BF4?
He's checking his speed control, which does affect your turn speed. 1st person to check (313) and he switches back to 3rd person to have a greater sense of awareness around him.

I can't play this game because of the controls.
how do you keep track of your speed for sharp turns when you are so focused on keeping track of where the other jet is going? When i'im playing, if I use third person camera, frequently I mess up the speed and have to go first person again to check the current speed and adjust accordingly, and then by the time I fix it, the other jet is already on my 6 =S any tips?
Idk, I have the same problem lol, but I think it gets to the point where you just have to glance at your speed and switch back to 3rd person, and then speed up or slow down, rather than staying in the cockpit view the entire time you're trying to manage your speed. Basically I think it gets to the point where getting the right speed happens on feeling rather than staring at the number in the cockpit. But obviously developing that skill takes ages.
I would be more impressed if your skill translated to a sim.
BF3 was wayyyyy better than bf4 when it comes to dogfighting.

Speed checking. Basically you get the most G's in BF3 and 4 when you're at 313 speed
