  • The Kleeman crew head to Indiana's first state park! McCormick's Creek State Park is the oldest state park in the U.S. state of Indiana, dedicated on July 4, 1916, as part of the state's centennial celebration. It is located 14 miles west of Bloomington. It offers camping, cabins, lodge, huge pool, nature center, stables, great hiking trails and more! Our favorite part was the Wolf Cave that you could go all the way through. We share our favorite hiking trails from the trip and what to expect to see. McCormick Creek has some amazing geological features and beautiful scenery. We definitely recommend camping here!

Nice weekend getaway Chelsea!! See you had to bring all three children along, I suppose Mike does have his uses (driver, cameraman child carrier etc.).
You pointed out some interesting facts along the way, always good to enjoy the outdoors!!! 😁

Wild Roots, You did it again and reminded me of my wanderings in Indiana. I remember going to McCormick Creek but not much else. I think it was a day trip from a church camp out in the boonies from Mitchell, IN.
I saw you had some company down in the canyon at the falls. Spring Mill and Turkey Run were my favorite parks. We canoed Sugar Creek which runs thru Turkey Run a few times in the late 70's/early 80's.
I was surprised to see the fire tower was open.
Absolutely fab to see a family being a family, a couple of great kids and great adults.

I love that park. My husband and I used to go there a lot. He had family in that area and we were a lot younger and more spry back in the day. It still looks like fun

It’s a wonderful park. We are so blessed that we have this video to remember what the park looked before the tornado destruction last week.

A little bit of education,in the cave & mining world the "Top" of the cave/mine is called the "Back" & the sides left or right is called the "Ribs" of the cave/mine✌️ Napa California

Thanks for taking us on this great adventure. Your videos are too far and few between. I didn't see you looking for any mushrooms....in season?? Oh, by the way, your cameraman was just OK. He needs to pick it up some.

Unfortunately an F3 tornado tore a 400-yard wide path through this park last spring. The campground and wolf cave area are still closed for the forseeable future.
