This brings back so many memories for me. What a beautiful rendition. I used to listen to Alan Price playing this live back in the day and it was always my favourite song of his entire set.
Nice rendition however, Price's version on the live 'Performing Price" LP is funkier and excellent when played LOUD on a good hifi. Have enjoyed Laurie since his appearance on 'The Black Adder' from 1982 and into the 90's. Laurie and gang; Rowan Atkinson, Stephen Fry, Tony Robinson and others were side splitting funny with just enough profanity thrown in. In the classic BBC1 format like Monty Python and Benny Hill. Still though, this version by Laurie and company is most enjoyable.
