The Don. Very grateful of his work for the church, in exposition and application. He has helped me consider much about His Word and how to live in Christ.
This is one of the best messages I've ever heard on the parable of the talents. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and love for the Kingdom of God. The kindness and goodness of God leads us to repentance. To think that the Master of the household will share his eternal joy with us is almost too good to be true. But that's the nature of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. God bless all our you who make these sermons available for the public.
The rest of the word is great The word of God has no boundries. We are all one. No mater what. We are the hand made of God. He sees us as His children. I pray we will all make it. Thank you man of God.
Amen -- my prayer this morning led me here. I was having trouble understanding what God wants me to do while we wait for Jesus. I was confused that we should focus on as "works" don't get us into heaven. Instead it's a focus on stewardship not vanity. Inaction is a sign of ignorance and carelessness. As an entrepreneur this made a lot of sense to me.
I’ve been praying for direction in a decision I’ve got to make, and He placed this parable on my heart. Thank you for sharing. As your final point - I don’t know the specific direction yet, but I know that I need to keep building His assets. The Great Commission is on my heart. I also wonder if the symbolism of the third slave also is in context of Jesus’ mission to the Jews - specifically how he challenged the Pharisees and Sadducees.
it is the Lord who gives His talents, to each of His stewards, the Lord does not give His abilities to unsaved people to serve his people, His house, so the context is eternal rewards for faithfulness, or eternal retribution for unfaithfulness , this means that it is faithfulness that determines our destinies , so they are given Talents because they are His servants by faith ,but their destinies are determined by their faithfulness, their works
But the parable clearly says that he is to be cast out into utter darkness etc. That's hell. Since when can a believer be cast into hell? And since when has the gospel message been "make use of God's gifts and you will be saved"?
Yeah I have heard an OPC sermon before that this is about faith, not talents. The more you believe the more you believe. The less you believe, whatever little faith you have, it will be taken away and given to those who believe
kkkkkkk! YOU VISION ABOUT THE "PHYSICAL" SCENERY IS RIGHT, BROTHER ! PLEASE, MY DEAR BROTHER , DO NOT FORGET THE SPIRITUAL VISION! MAY THE LORD OUR GOD BLESS YOU AND ME, TOO. AMEM

2. Wait for Jesus as stewards who must give account of their service faithful or otherwise 24:45-51
A Bag of Gold, What Bible Verse, in what Bible did you read this title?
❤
1. Wait for Jesus as those who do not want to be surprise at his master’s return 24:36-44
great sermon thankyou. i’m pretty sure i would be the one bag slave
Where is scripture are we expected to evangelise as individuals as opposed to as a body?
3. Wait for Jesus as those who knows Jesus coming may be long delayed 25:1-13
it is the Lord who gives His talents, to each of His stewards, the Lord does not give His abilities to unsaved people to serve his people, His house, so the context is eternal rewards for faithfulness, or eternal retribution for unfaithfulness , this means that it is faithfulness that determines our destinies , so they are given Talents because they are His servants by faith ,but their destinies are determined by their faithfulness, their works
Are we not saved by faith in Christ?
Or are we saved by evangelism and making good use of gifts?
Save by grace through faith unto good works = Ephesians 2:810
4. Wait for Jesus as slaves commissioned to improve their Master’s asset 25:14-30
🤣🤣 African time🤭. I’m in South Africa, I know exactly what you mean

You will never discover the truth in any parable if you use the NIV.
Entrusted/not trusted/cast into hell.
That makes no sense.
