  • How much quicker is the 10th Gen Honda Accord 0-60 mph w/ the addition of NEW sticky, high-performance summer only tires, the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, along with NEW light weight wheels, the WedsSport SA-25R? Will these wider and stickier performance tires allow us to run an improved 0-60mph time? Will the Michelin Pilot Sport tyres eliminate wheel spin and tire hop on our 2019 Honda Accord 2.0 project car? (Oh and we also have the following performance mods; Phearable Stage 3 ECU Tune, a PRL HVI (high-volume air intake), Mishimoto Intercooler, and a PRL High Volume Catted Downpipe). We're using the Dragy performance meter (link below) to test our 10th Gen Honda Accord project car (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 Honda Accord). Follow along on our performance modification journey as we install and dyno test various Honda Accord FBO performance mods, including air intakes, downpipes, exhausts, ECU tunes (KTuner and Phearable), intercooler, flex fuel kit, tires, upgraded turbos, and more!!!

    Another great video. Thanks, Chad! I was watching your boost gauge and noticed it didn't get over 18psi which has to be due to the altitude. For comparison to show the power loss due to altitude, I'm on a stock ktuner stage 2 tune and get 23-24psi at 700" above sea level. However, I don't have nearly as beautiful scenery in the Chicago burbs!

    Chad, I have a 19 Accord 2.0 touring also. It is completely stock except for lightweight Wheels and summer Tires. My 0 to 60 times at 600 ft above sea level are a consistent 5.5 5.6 seconds. Would you care to speculate what your car would do at at this sea level. Currently the quickest front wheel drive car that I know is the Hyundai Kona N it has been recorded to do 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds. I am thinking you should be at this number or lower.
    Do you have any plans on changing your front sway bar? I changed my rear sway bar so I am looking to upgrade my front bar as well. A Honda dealership in my area is quoting me $800 to change it out. Ouch! I believe they have to drop the steering rack out along with removing steering column. I will have to think on that one for some time.
    Thanks

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It’s tough to speculate, maybe, maybe 5.0 sec at sea-level 🤷‍♂️. I don’t plan on upgrading the front sway bar as in this case it would counter act the upgraded rear sway bar. Upgrading the rear helped reduce some understeer 👍

    I'm noticing a very brief but severe lag after you are about 1 second into 3rd gear.. so not a gear change lag.. it's already fully in 3rd. Not sure if you notice the same? I'm wondering if this is an error in the tune (aka room for improvement) very slight.. easily over looked. Or if it's due to you're altitude plus 91oct. I need to re-do my draggy 1/8 mile now with the phearable loaded. My stock time 0-60 was 5.6 (same launch as you but running 93 at sea level) after I re-do and il try and record my gauges.. I'm curious if mine will have the same "lag"

    Idk how your k con is so stable, that’s great. One solid run like that and my car would be at .54 and probably go up by .05 every pull after. I’m in Virginia with quality 93 octane and even adding E sometimes which does help a little but still not as stable as what I’m seeing with your car. Wondering if it’s my car or I need to retune

    • @edwardtan4631
      @edwardtan4631 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Maybe his k.con is stable due to the altitude. I recall there was a thing about using lower octane at higher altitude for better combustion. For example if your car normally runs 87 but at 6000ft need to run 85. So effectively his 91 is acting like a higher octane gas since there is less O2 up there.
