I have heard nothing about IVF being under attack or that taxpayers will cover this for all US citizens. I dont want my taxes paying for anyones IVF procedures. Trump did say that he will leave abortion legality up to individual states.
I used to think that IVF wouldn’t be covered by insurance but as I’ve thought more about it, if a person lost his leg in an auto crash, insurance would cover physical therapy and prosthetics. If a person cannot conceive a baby that would be as traumatic as an auto crash. It comes down to cost. It would be really expensive to off that to every couple who can’t conceive. I see the trama for friends and family when they faced this heart breaking situation. That pain never stops. There are reminds on every corner that other people have children and you can’t. Then people would like to have two children. That’s twice as expensive. Money can’t make you happy but it can provide access to happiness. It doesn’t work for some couples.
Schools should allow children 1-2 days a year for family travel without penalty. Families need quality time together. Getting everyone off at the same time is difficult.
