So Cool!
i remember how one of my friends wanted to add Peter Griffin from Family Guy to SMC now he can via this
better tell him he can do so now, lol
Good stuff
This might isnt the best moment to say this, but ive did some weird stuff by changing a Mario world style level with all types of bob-ombs and a few other enemies into the smb1 all stars style and i found out that the bob-omb (chase and explode) has its own sprite and totally works normally exept for some stuff that arent in the smb1 style, that just got weird and buggy textures, has its own texture or just getting replaced. The object sign from smw turns into a yellow shell inside the editor.
why does the Sprite stretch so far out?
Artifact prevention, you can often remove/replace these lines
Will there be a mods section on the main page?
In a future site update yes, though it'll be a while off.
hey level share square, do you know the nitrome page?
Can't recall hearing of it, what is it that you'd like to tell us about it?
How Do Make Custom Backgrounds For SMC?
make sure the background is 512x432, the upload to a site such as imgur and copy the image url (a link which ends with .png/.jpg/etc) and use it in the custom background field within SMC
@@LevelShareSquare no! i meant using palletes on custom backgrounds
Are SMC and YFS open-source?
No, but you can find moddable assets within the description. Documentation is provided on github.
@@LevelShareSquare Will there be the ability to make addons for the games, though?
not to the extent you'd be thinking of. Custom tilesets are planned for SMC, the WML alllows you to swap out palettes/sprites and the source code is gonna be public after v8, but a C3 license costs money to make use of.
