    It’s amazing what happens when we play with our toys vs complain about them. Well done!

      thanks mate :) appreciate you checking out the video. i have no complaints here, does exactly what i want it. i think maybe people wanted a mini push, which i'm sure would be awesome... but this is like a push jr. love it!

    I might have to get one of these to mess around. Love drumming to this stuff, time to try some writing!

      really appreciate you mate! this thing would be awesome as a supporting unit for a live drummer :)

      @arcologies I'm looking into the tracker+ as well after reading some of your other comments. The Move is at least cheaper (once it's in stock)!

      @@lkwalden7 tracker+ is amazing :) huge fan of it. i'm having a ton of fun with the move though, device has a great sound and some awesome built-in synths/fx.

    How are you liking it so far? I'm tempted to pick one up purely for the standalone aspect since I dont use Ableton.

    • @arcologies
      @arcologies  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      i own ableton, but i rarely use it... it's great software, but i'm hooked on renoise. that being said, the move is an amazing device; especially at that cost. once you spend a couple hours with it, it's really easy to use. i've been pretty much just using as a standalone device as well.

    How does it feel compared to a tracker rig? Do you feel in the groove making the track?

    • @arcologies
      @arcologies  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      heya! it's great. to be fair, i am a tracker fiend... so trackers and renoise are always going to be my go-to. however, the move is an excellent groovebox with wicked synths (drift and wavetable) and awesome fx... ableton has some of the best out there. it's easy to use, and a steal at the price they are asking... especially if you're an ableton live user.

    Syntakt, play, tracker, mc707, m:cycles, lxr02, rm1x.... Do I need another groove box? Yes, the answer is yes.

    Sick ! I have a push 2 but I feel like the workflow is too tied into the vertical session view with clips which I never use. Does the workflow of this function more like a traditional drum sequencer like Elektron?

    • @arcologies
      @arcologies  หลายเดือนก่อน

      that's a great way of describing it, yes! it's definitely more like a drum sequencer/elektron than a push... best of both worlds really. you can "p-lock" the sequencer, but I'm not sure how powerful it is vs the elektron boxes
      i've casually tried a push 2 in the past and it wasn't for me... wish it was, because they are ace for performing it seems. thanks for checking out the video :)

  • @sodathief

    nice what did you use for drums? built in or samples?

    • @arcologies
      @arcologies  หลายเดือนก่อน

      heya! thanks for checking it out :) i used an amen break and my own samples. the bass sound is from the drift synth on the move.

    This or the polyend tracker?

    • @MoistBananaFantasmagoria
      @MoistBananaFantasmagoria หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Por que no los dos?

    • @H3ADL3SS
      @H3ADL3SS หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      The Polyend Tracker has more audio tracks. The screen makes it way easier to chop and mangle breaks and samples. I subjectively like the tracker workflow more, it's fast, and you have a great overview of what is going on. You can find the OG Polyend Tracker quite cheap second-hand if you are interested.
      The Ableton Move is probably much better for performing small live sets. It is however possible to do cool stuff with the Tracker. You can look up a video by Isobutane '14 beats for live show', where you can make loops that can be performed with mutes and effects.

    • @arcologies
      @arcologies  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@H3ADL3SS this is basically the gist of it. i'm always gonna be a fan of the tracker, and prefer the tracker-style workflow to anything else.
      and yah, the move only has 4 tracks... but you can get 4 tracks of drum racks with 16 samples each... for a total of 64 tracks to sequence chromatically if you want... so it's barely a limitation if you can work that way.
      for jungle and breaks, trackers are king for me... but this is an awesome device.
