Hooded Merganser

Hooded Merganser. The male and female were photographed today. It was very windy and I apologize for the lack of good audio. The male is the first one seen. He has a beautiful white patch of feathers that can open up on his head. This is displayed in the opening of the video.

I like mergansers but I didn't know about this species. Beautiful bird and video. Thank you for sharing.
