Thank you for this. Never thought of playing it myself. Must do it now. I'm familiar with the jazzed up version by CNS (yes, under the name of Ringländer- Halling.)
Hi Emilie, Thanks a lot for your videos and especially this one, you're a great sourse of inspiration for my improvisations. I play viola da gamba. I don't understand all what you talking about because I'm french, and of course my english is horrible but your musique is universelle so I understand the essentiel. Musicalement.
Wonderful. Lovely lilting song one could dance to!!! It is so nice to know that you are keeping the traditional music alive. Keep it up!!! From an Irish lass. Colleen Black 🦋🌈🌊🌬🕊💧⚘☺🌈
In my family history my great great grandfather was a judge in county Cork, Ireland and I too love listening to the local music. I play guitar and write my own music. I truly believe like they say "Music is in the blood!!!" The family moved to Pennsylvania, Kansas to California. I play by chord and I picked up the guitar at 11 yrs old watching my brother play on his guitar. My mother played piano and growing up our family was filled with laughter, song, music and love. The good old days!!! Colleen🕊🌈🌊🌬🌼🌴😁⚘🌻🌲☘🌈
Great! After seeing Your video I really want to learn it. Felt like dancing when You played it in the end of video. 😊 You’ve got a new subscriber, Kind Easter greetings from Sweden, Thomas
When I open up the Patreon they say I'm a contributor and I see the photo but it doesn't seem to want to record the 1e50 even though I did it all again yesterday
Hej Erin, well this video is meant as a little lesson for learning the tune ! My tuning is CGDA, so yes my fingerings on the D string are different than on a traditionally-tuned nyckelharpa (in C). I don't do Zoom lesson sadly (neither time nor technology for it).
Hello Emilie. I have once again spent 2 hours on Patreon, how far have I got this time? I'm really tired of giving them the same information time and time again, and we have very little network here in this town.
I'm very sorry but I don't see your subscription popping up in my list of Patrons =/ I guess there is a step you're missing but I really can't help more than that. I hope you can figure it out.
@@EmelieWaldken I'll try again when I'm with my son. my son is here. It's most probably because of the lack of network Sadly yesterday I played this schottish BUT I started on the wrong D, the lower D, seems to me it was easier to play than using the middle D, but I'll try tomorrow to do it properly just the same.
What a gorgeous tune thanks for sharing it!
Thanks ! I'm glad you like it so much !

Aldrig hört det namnet ^^ tack för infon ! Det ser ut som att den låten har mååånga kvar !
Stunning, this format is wonderful it helps me understand the notes and then progress.

Your English is better than that of a lot of us Americans who leave comments on TH-cam videos.
@@c.a.t.732 And better than many other native English speakers.

So beautiful
Spooky little tune, far from the oceans. Old herring, old cheeses. Prancing goats in the gloaming.
So lovely

Love it!
Mmmm. Very good.
I like from 2:50 because I played Ragtime as young.
Beautiful! Where can I find sheet music for this tune? I search on FolkWiki but didn't find anything :-(
I give sheet music for all the tunes I teach on my Patreon: www.patreon.com/emeliewaldken
Hi Emilie, can you point me in a direction how to learn to play this song? Are you in the classic tuning for the nyckelharpa? Do you do zoom lessons?

Reinläner. Haha jag är Svensk, men förstår saken.
