I was thinking that there has got to he some kind of tool.. and came upon this clip...
Thanks 4 mentioning depth of single and dual layer.. and how far the blade will reach. 5 inch seems fine.. for single layer.

Best way to remove plaster that I've found so far! Just don't forget a vacuum and vacuum shroud!

Yes there was! Two layers of plaster with wire mesh!

I’ve done a fair share of plaster wall and ceiling demos and your technique is superior especially for that wire mesh that you typically find in tile walls.

Yes, I haven't found anything that works better yet! Plus with a good vacuum everything stays fairly clean yet!

How do u ensure u don’t cut thru electrical?

Well as long as they didn't do something stupid with the electrical the blade doesn't go any deeper than the lathe and plaster.
