Im starting this month and I was wondering should i take audio production if I only have a basic understanding of music. I'm just trying to get a better understanding of the differences between music production and audio production.
The Music Production is more music centered, as far as mic placements, session set up, song writing, pretty much all about music... Whereas Audio production is about music, Film or Movies, and Game Audio production. So it is more on the general Audio engineering side of things, not just music, but sound design for film and games, Foley staging, etc... If you are all about music then I'd do the music degree, but if you may want to get into the music side, and or the film production side, or game audio, etc... then the Audio degree...
Hey Brandon, I completely enjoyed your video. I wanted to ask you did you find it difficult entering school at an older age than "the norm?" I ask because I'm turning 34 this year and had to put of school because of "Life happening" and I originally wanted to attend Full Sail when graduating High School, but now I see the online program and think it would be a good fit. I know you can't answer for anyone but yourself, but how has it been for you?
I love it each week that goes by, I'm more and more thankful to have done it and to be able to take advantage of the opportunity. Also, it seems expensive but compared to a likewise college situation that's apples for apples, its quite cheap. I hope the best for you, Its one of the best decisions I ever made.
Great video, but I notice that your music track is overpowering your spoken track, at least via my macbook pro speakers, I wish it was easier to hear you. Something to consider for future videos. Welcome to Full Sail! Congratulations on taking this journey!
I'm not sure really, other then possibly recording a stereo setup, or something else...I'm almost halfway through the program. Im starting to get into advanced classes, so Im sure I'll be finding out soon. I'll let you know if I find out.
@@216DevelopmentOfficial I'm starting tomorrow, the 2 microphones are different, one is for vocals, and one is for recording an instrument for example. There are 2 standard types of Mics. I know this is an old thread, but I thought I would answer your question.

63k total, including 5k for the launchbox. I got over 20k in grants and scholarships, after all said and done my loan balance is like 36K for a 4 year Bach degree is super cheap...

I've been looking into this as well. Do you know why they send two of the mics for?

do you get to keep the launchbox or do you have to return it to full sail ?
The Launchbox is mine to keep. Its actually factored in with the tuition, so if you get any grants, scholarships, etc, it'll be covered.
