    I do both residential and commercial and I see advantages on both ends. You can make money doing both. It's all about the hussle.

      What did you do to learn both residential and commercial, explain to me, I'm interested in that. You had to study that in a college.

      @@suominona.legion4602 yes, you have to learn thru school. Not just any school, its better to attend a School that gives you hands on experience. it may be a little pricey, but if you really want to learn, its worth the investment

      @@sademl6076basically it’s the same type of work except you’re just working on commercial projects like shops, hotels etc

      Do you think that a commercial electrician could easily transition to residential? If so this would be a great side hustle on the weekends

    when i started as a apprentice, i was working for a electric contractor. they went broke, so i continued my apprentiship as a maintenance electrician. i then worked in contracting after i was 21, but i went back into maintenance in 1977. i remained doing that until i retired in 2015 at age 65. i would say for me , being a maintenance i was doing installs, as well as repair work. great time for me.

    This video is way off base if you actually talk to an electrician. If your looking to get into the field don’t listen to this video at all

      @@unknownman1035 commercial and industrial always have better pay in my experience. Large scale jobs with complex wireways and wiring w/ having prints and scales just require more thought and make a better electrician. I was resi my whole apprenticeship and it didn't prepare me. It's busy work.

    Quick in quick out? Custom homes can take up to 2 years whereas your local Taco Bell took 90 days.

    • @alikilicaslan6045
      @alikilicaslan6045 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Did many custom homes so far. The electrical part (usually) doesn’t take more than 2-3weeks. That would include panel/meter/rough in and finals. Now if you are living in a country where the houses are concrete rather than wood frames, it’s a whole different scenario.
      The part where other trades do their part in between your duties obviously is not counted in the time i said. If you were to count the time from the carpenter to the siding finisher, you may be correct with 2 years.

      Industrial work often requires you to be on the road, as does commercial just less so then industrial. That’s why I went residential, my family is important I want to be here to see them grow. The time away isn’t worth the money. It’s not as black and white as “ooh industrial smarter”
