    Hey, Kyra 👋🏾 my no.1 clever way of saving money is reusing/recycling/repurposing different things, like my only tupperware to store food is the takeaway container, the empty date box is used as dividers for fruits (soft ones) in the crisper case, the empty milkbottles are my water bottles now, the grocery bags are used as trash bags, greek yogurt mini tubs are used to store dried fruits & nuts & seeds. I NEVER need to buy stuff for these purposes. I like the way you talk & explain, I like how soft-spoken you are and how wise as well. Your reminder for saving money has motivated me to start saving for emergency. I have done my math how much I am gonna save next. Thanks for such wisdom. Keep creating the much needed great content. 💟

    "Gril math" is just an excuse to do stupid things with money. I realize nowadays people act as if doing nonsense is cute.

    Dear Kyra, thank you so much for your very down to earth video. If we could have more people like you it would be so a blessing for the environment. Enjoy your day, best wishes from Germany 😃.
    PS: It was a joy to see Milo's foot stretched up for some secs, gave me a good laugh :-D

    Even if it’s dry clean, I will still attempt to wash it in the washing machine. I buy all my clothes secondhand. Usually it works out (every time it works out) and companies will just put dry clean only on their clothes without reason. Ha! I think- I win!

    I use to stock up on can food before winter. I am not doing this anymore. Instead, I am buying butternut squash, acorn and hubbard to keep on hand. They last a long time if stored properly and I will eat them. I wasted a lot of money because of expired cans. And having a protective phone cover I agree is a must! 🌞

    Using your local public library. Not only access to the physical items inside but there is digital access to freegal (music downloads), hoopla (ebooks, audio books, comic books, movies, tvshows) which can be accessed from home.
    movie theatres have reduced price days. I can go to an evening show times for less than $6.
    Also educate yourself on your benefits at work. For example my job offers pto for volunteering. Im the only person that uses it. EAP programs can also provide access to free therapy or legal sessions.
    Also sucks to admit this. But bringing back Gatekeeping! I found a beach thats chill, not crowded, and has free parking. I tell no one!!

    How I keep it simple is buying no more than a three pack of something, or limiting the space of a drawer, basket to what the items hold, and then not cross the boundary into other spaces until those are used up. Saves a lot of
    money and waste not having eight of every category.

    The way I try to save money but I like to take advantage that health insurance companies have reward programs & if you answer there questions you can rack up points & I've used my points to claim a kitchen appliance if I need it or gift cards. Also some might have OTC programs that help pay for certain items that you might need like medicine. Also take advantage of those plans that have those rewards programs

    I don’t agree on the stockpiles. I live alone and earn minimum wage. When I can, I stock up to save money. It also gives me peace of mind to know I have some left for „emergencies“…

    • @Kyraann.
      @Kyraann.  วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      I completely understand! I’ve lived alone on a tight budget for many years, and I still live on an even tighter budget these days. But now I try not to focus on the ‘what if there’s an emergency’ scenario, because that fear used to lead me to overspend on unnecessary items that would eventually expire. I still keep some essentials on hand, but not to the extent I used to. Every dollar counts more now. What I really wanted to express in the video is that extreme couponing or stocking up so much that your home starts to look like a Target aisle may not always be the best approach. It can lead to wasted money and products if you’re not careful.
