Nice review again Truck. The two-way tailgate is great for loading with a forklift otherwise the normal drop gate is great for sitting on. I am surprised that the petrol is more economical than the diesel which is great. How is the sound system? Does it have a subwoofer?
A right hand drive version was spotted in Melbourne, Vic Australia ahead of its launch later this year. This looks good. I hope they bring the v6 variant

the price of the diesel ones is around 220k~240K Chinese Yuan(31k~34k USD)，you can buy it anywhere in China，GWM is one of the biggest car company in China.
As an Australian who used to sell and maintain these vehicles at a dealership, I can say Great wall has come a long way. The earlier model V200's etc, were absolutely terrible and would fall apart very quickly. Great wall adressed that with their "Steed" variant that came out later, which was very similar in likeness to a Nissan NP300 Navara. While they were not without problems, they were leagues better than the previous model. With the New Cannon Series, they have done it again, although, still not without issue, they are leagues better and almost a very compelling buy. The only real issues with the new models are the electrics failing prematurely, but usually it is along the lines of a sensor or a light.

A notable feature is the remotely operated split 60/40 tailgate in down mode, or it can be manually opened sideways like two doors via the split arrangement, if one needs to get closer to the load bed to load/remove items. A neat feature also, is the rear bumper with right and left step up. The Toyota Land Cruiser here cost 5,000,000 plus Pesos. That figure is converted from a $90,000 US selling price . The Tank 500 SUV is reported to sell here in the Philippines for approx $40,000 less. However, I can't believe that price reduction, as that would equate to 2,500,000, Pesos, which at that price point, one may well get stomped in the rush, trying to enter a GWM Dealership. I would think that a figure of $30,000 less would be more realistic and even given an exchange rate of 56 pesos to one US dollar, that coverts to 3,360,000 pesos, which should see it compete with Hyundai's Palisade at PH3.9 mil. The V6 Shanhai Cannon pick up however, I expect/hope for it to sell for less, at maybe 2,200,000 Pesos or a little more to compete with Ford's Ranger/Raptor, Isuzu's D-Max, and Mitsubishi/s Triton/ Strada, including Mazda BT50, but competing mainly for it's interior appointments and overall safety features above the rest,. In summing up, I'm reasonably sure that GWM will import the TANK 500 SUV, along with the the Shanhai Cannon V6, gasoline, as well as their 2.4 liter Diesel variants. Filipinos do love lots of bling and creature comforts. Also, the 2023 model has the spare tire mounted to the swing out tailgate, which I should say looks quite impressive. 2.4 Diesel us going to be the biggest downfall of this ute. Loved the Cannon X but it was under powered. If these also had the option of a V6 diesel it would certainly be a market dominator. I like the suspension tuning on this car, the handling feels great,This truck is one of the best handling among Chinese pickup trucks.forgot to tell you,the new changan pioneer gasoline version equipped with 8-speed automatic transmission,five link rear susupension and TOD AWD system.
I'm impress by the GWM Shanhai Cannon. The other manufacturers better look out. GWM are at the top of their game. I wouldn't care for over price badge envy for a Ford Ranger or Toyota Hilux if the GWM Shanhai Cannon can out class them for bang for bucks
