Watching this a 2nd time and NaHO and Joey were so sweet.... I couldnt help but watch them and cheer them on. I really wish we got more NaHO and Joey screen time, but the producers editted and chose their favorites according to viewer's poll. I know that later in the season Liu Xin and Esther became the main focus and almost everyone else got pushed to the background. When you have a cast of 109 people you have to choose which ones you will focus on, then narrow it down to 60, then 35, and then 20, and finally you get the 9 that viewers pick.
I really felt with Kun on Yu Zhang, she had the vocals and her dance was pretty alright. I believe she can do more and I really wanted her at A but I can see why they would put her at B (the mic mess up and her vocals wasn't heard well while she was dancing). I just hope they didn't put her at B because of her style, you really don't see any unique idols with curly hair and I get tired of always seeing girl groups with the same old basic looks and vocals. Plus, her voice was AMAZING. Also the girls that were put at F (Joey and the Japanese girl) made me teary and even though they weren't the best, they still had unique performance, especially the Japanese girl. Her performance was very much giving Japanese style lol, a lot of Japanese artists tend to do those hand movements and all probably because it either makes up for their lack of dancing or maybe it's just something they really like to do in the culture?
I dont get why the Japanese girl in 28:17 got an F her vocals were really good and i thought she attracted me a lot aswell i thought she would have gotten C or lowest D
All of the performances (other than the finale) are edited and corrected, so most of the time (unless it’s obvious) you won’t notice mistakes on stage….

No way thats too low. Just because she doesnt look like a "typical girl group member" she sings well, had good expressions (more than other girls that got B like Ju Chen and Sharon -loved them both) and can dance she deserved a B

eliwa raised her hand before xu jiaqi when kun asked who wanted to challenge an qi. and i really think eliwa deserved a B rating instead of a C; her movements were really clear and her singing is stable. i feel like the song and her lines didn’t do her as many favors and she didn’t get much time in the center. her voice would be better highlighted if she sang the chorus “tell me who’s your girl, tell me who’s your girl…” since her voice is stronger and fuller than zhang yuge’s. especially with the loud beat, zhang yuge’s voice was really not prominent enough considering she was the only person singing the chorus. she has a lovely voice, but imo it would have sounded better if she was assigned a different part. and eliwa definitely could have gotten a B rating if she got to join their little competition and show off her dancing. not a jab at anyone; just observations
