I played Hindenburg as a full conceal and range build. I tried no conceal and full dpm build, but didn’t like it. I now have found a good build for me. Conceal and survivability in commander and double rudder in modules. A hybrid lighthouse if you wanna call it
My feeling is that the Hindy guns are fine. The issue is Hindy use to fill the role of a dpm heavy cruiser. Now we consider it a medium cruiser. She had some protective armor in 2018, now overmatch and SAP can wreck her. I think they should focus on either improving her handling or buffing her armor.
Light house builds are good when you div up with a dd. Current meta and the Jelly fish IQ players will spoil all the fun. The games which make up to a TH-cam video generally are cherry pic ones
i would really like to see a henri - castilla comparison, cuz i think both ships share a similar playstyle... i was already searchin for a video like this but didnt found anything... so id be rakky happy do a video like this!
Uh no castilla and Henri have different playstyles..Henri is run and gun and HE spam and castilla shines at using AP a lot and using F key for broadsides and ambushes but yeh a comparison would be nice to see

i was all in on the french cruisers when my addiction to this wretched game came back then i got the st louis and just sort of trailed off into other ships now, im only 100k xp away (assuming i dont use free xp) and now seems like a good time to get henri
I mean lets be honest, permakiting is going to be what you'll be doing for the majority of the time anyway. Therefore constantly firing and consequently being spotted is more or less what you want to do. I don't see a reason to ever consider full conceal, when all it does is allowing you to disengage from fights that you probably would've won with the extra DPM lighthouse gives. You lose out on DPM and manouverability while retaining the same playstyle that benefits heavily from these things..
Martel and St. Louis are still a blast to play, so I don't find the grind to be bad at all. Algerie is still strong but the lower tier ones are far too squishy for new players to have much fun with

No not 1 or 2 second nerf..the acceleration went from 30 seconds upto 60 70 seconds even worse than BBs or the same as BBs now this nerf has been removed
There was a time when WG corrected mistakes on the principle that a ship should not feel too cancerous when playing against it. The Henri is one of those ships. Any ape that can alternate between S-key and W-key will be a plague to play against. In the hands of an experienced cruiser player it will only be brought down in a huge team afford that might happen any 10 to 20 matches... But I guess in times of submarines and superships and upcoming CV with AP dodge bombs we don't need to care any more about the opposing side, right CC? With that logic of yours I would say the next ships to unnerf should be Richthofen, Nakhimov, Smolensk. Thunderer, Satsuma
Well, to your remark of it maybe being a bit uncomfortable to grind up to the henri, i cant agree at all on that one. All the ships in the line are excellent, and i honestly dint really understand why they buffed the saint louis. Also, even before the update, henri was still resonably comfortable to play.
Well I don't know. Just play Henri few times and its feels like bigger Zao with worse concealment, DPM, and it just sits higher and has giant citadel that just wait for BBs AP. If you push to BBS you die in both of them but on longer ranges ZAO is just smaller target with bit of troll armor - henri just eats everything. I also have RPF on ZAO so I know where the DD is all the time even if our dies and late game I can chase them and kill them. Also 10km spot is way better and you can go dark most of the time as you want. And you have shima 12km torps..
Bro Henri has very troll armour lol I think u might be playing it wrong it depends extremely on its throttle juking ability enemy ships will shoot 2 or 3 times and then they will get annoyed and just focus other targets and in bot saying this in theory, this is tried and true..Zao and Henri play very differently..zao uses it's conceal and DD dispersion guns to ambush or open up on unsuspecting ships while henri just annoys the hell out of anything it sees at range

Zao can stay hidden and than murder dds, can stealth torp, can spot subs with its sonar, but also can farm BBs like Henri. But all Henri can do is just farm..that 13km concealment is just terrible.

The henri’s reload did get nerfed several patches back PQ. It was like a 1 or 2 second nerf.

Henri was buffed so it is no longer sluggish.
Not much difference even with modules, mine doesn't accelerate like this one.
