I'm back in Hong Kong after a few years, and for dinner, I went with some of my friends to eat some seafood at Tung Kee Seafood. The next day I flew Japan Airline business class to Seattle and the reason why I'm flying to Seattle because I'm moving there, so I need to look for an apartment otherwise I won't have a place to live.

Here's a tip I learned with JAL (probably other airlines too) for all of us poor travelers....ask how much a seat upgrade is at the boarding desk! I flew economy on JAL from Dallas to Tokyo, which was pretty dang good for economy. Well we ended up being delayed for at least 3 hours due to weather on the trip back home. Out of boredom and curiosity I decided to ask how much it would be to upgrade to business class...she told me $390 😳 I have never in my life thrown a credit card at someone so fast in my life! Since we were only about 45 mins into a known 3 hour delay, I was promptly escorted to the business class lounge. No joke I felt like royalty. Then I got on the plane..and I literally cried! I could not believe I was sitting in business class....for a 14 hour flight! I almost couldn't sleep in very nice lay flat seat because I didn't want to miss out on the experience 🤣🤣 that is and probably always will be the best $400 I've ever spent! So always ask how much to upgrade at the boarding desk before your flight!

Congratulations on moving to Seattle! I really miss living there. I grew up about 45 minutes south of Seattle in a town called Puyallup. Every September is the Puyallup fair and that's a must do while living there. So definitely don't miss out on that!

I guess he got lonely. It's a big house in the middle of the woods and seems like he's the only one living there. Also doesn't make sense for him to live in that type of house when he's traveling so much so it's a good choice for him to move into a city.

Hope you found a place in Seattle. I live near Chinatown aka International District and it’s pretty cool. Some decent neighborhoods near there ... Beacon Hill, Capitol Hill, Pioneer Square, Leschi. And is only a few minutes away from the airport. You can even take the light rail to it. BTW “Everybody was tofu fighting” is an awesome design I had to buy one.

Welcome to Seattle! If you want really good clam Chowder. Try Duke's Chowder House. Also, don't forget to head to Tacoma for some great food places. There are a bunch of hole in the wall places that are fantastic.

Just for correction here, in southern China, salty flavor “tofu brain” is very popular as well, especially in Shanghai and regions surrounding it, with many topping such as dried baby shrimps, dried seaweed, soy sauce and chilly oil.Many of my shanghai friends prefer salty tofu, plus in south this style of tofu called “tofu flower” like a silky tofu texture

I'm so excited you're moving to Seattle! You'll love the weather. I was born and raised in Washington state and lived in Bellevue (which is across the lake from Seattle) for 8 years. Lots of great food places, especially Asian restaurants. I wish I would have tried some of the hot pot places before I moved. I still miss our favorite Phó and Thai restaurants.

Same issue as the "Food Ranger." You've lost touch with your viewers. The majority of us don't like 100,000+ Scoville-rated food or food ruined by vinegar. I need someone with similar tastes to give me insight into what I would want to eat; NOT someone with heat-destroyed taste buds and a love of ALL THINGS pickled in vinegar!!! And the wonders of (hotpot) boiled meats?! Just NO!!! Will always cherish the wonderful hours I spent watching your show!!!

If you're ever in East Texas try Stanley's - Rudy's is pretty widespread - I've had it in Albuquerquer, NM - currently in Tyler, Tx and it's pretty consistent - everything I've ever tried there, as far as meat goes, has been AWESOME (turkey, chicken, pork ribs, and especially the brisket).
