Awesome series guys! If I have to pick one game from each list then it would be as following:
1. Concordia
2. Dune Imperium
3. Cthulhu Wars
4. Spirit Island
My favorites from each list: Star Wars Rebellion, Clank, Dune Imperium, Blood Rage. Fun series!

Castles of Burgundy is objectively a great game.

It really is. Doesn’t look like much, but turns out it’s really fun!
I always found making accurate lists nearly impossible, as there are tiers of games which I like equally.
And, like Mike, my top three actually share the top slot. Sadly, they're the most difficult (if not impossible) to get played. Two are two-player customizable games (Dice Masters and Star Wars: Armada) and the other a campaign game (Star Wars: Imperial Assault).
And to be honest, my #4 through about #25 are also practically interchangeable with each other, not one of which I would hesitate to play if the opportunity presented itself -- which pathetically almost never happens.
Lists are fun but hard sometimes. And yes depending on the day, can change completely. ~Tim
It would be very nice to see a video with a ranking of games divided by difficulty scale, e.g. top 5 games for beginners, 5 for intermediate, 5 for advanced players.
Concordia was my number 1 for 6 years, until Glen More II dethrone it. Such a BRILLIANT design. I also like it vanilla with different maps. I don't even play with Salsa anymore.
“Choreographing” was for Gutenberg, IIRC. Used instead of “calligraphy”. 😂

Not liking Concordia Salsa is mind-blowing to me. It's a perfect expansion. I think the forum tiles alone make it must own. I would never play Concordia without it.
One of the starting forum tiles allows you to trade 3 goods during the mercator action. I feel like that one is far more powerful than the other starting forum tiles. I will try it again but the player with that tile blew away every previous score I have seen in that game. - Mike
@@BoardGameRundown I do hope you try it again if your main issue was gameplay balance.
I wouldn't be comfortable making any type of judgment on balance on just one play. I think too many people are quick to write off games over perceived balance issues when in my opinion you need at least 10+ games to even start.
Normally I would not but I have played enough to have seen some variance in scores and this score was just so much higher than any other score I've seen. Still, I will try again because I love the game so much.
I scrapped my insert for Tapestry. It is everything on baggies in one box.

I figured Dan’s #1 would be Imperium from osprey games…since he had dune imperium and twilight imperium at 2 and 3…hmm
I've only played it once, but I enjoyed it a lot. Found the gameplay very interesting if a bit clunky. Maybe after some more plays, I won't be able to resist making it 3 or something :P -Dan
It is REALLY suspicious how there are no mentions of Eclipse...
