I think of it as a pool within a pool. I have enough work keeping pH in line with a SWG doing its thing, I can only imagine an entire wall of water constantly aerating the water.
I have one on my route that I care for. From a weekly service standpoint, it has been great. The pool never has a leaf in it, because they skim over the negate edge and are really easy to scoop up after that. What is odd, is the pool also has a skimmer basket. I have never seen a leaf in the skimmer basket. All leaves go over the edge. Seems like an unnecessary feature for the pool.
Especially when you make the mistake of NOT installing a lower basin skimmer AND size the lower basin appropriately TO the size of the main POOL! Not rocket science but well worth the effort as the lower basin will perform flawlessly especially with an automated system (automated valving / timers / etc).

Pool. Maintenance is hell
