One of my all time rugby memories is on the ferry from Dublin after the AB visit in '78, heap of Polynesian London based lads on board in the bar as one does singing, stunning. Obviously we had to respond 'I'm Irish' , but after a few songs we were running out of road. We were saved by a little guy who appeared out of nowhere and started to sign Thomas Moore and Percy French ballads in a crystal clear tenor voice. The island lads loved it as much as we enjoyed theirs. Memories of the Mail boat.
