    I have watched your videos a few times now and am really impressed with the info you are teaching. With you info you i have gotten from you i am close to making the right orders. Today I used the trading plan from: daily, 15min, 5min, 1min. waited for entry and set my play. The only thing i did wrong was mix up the gap and go with gap retest, but other than that everything was right. If i would have chosen the correct gap up i would have gained 5r on the play, but instead lost 1r. I am right there, and i thank YOU because i can see what is happening now.

    The idea behind low float is not to find low volume stocks, quite the contrary. The idea is that due to the float, the demand for the shares is increased, yielding higher volatility or an equity more likely to move...especially in the case of a short squeeze. I've never seen anyone really have trouble getting filled due to moderate size entries (up to 10k).
    I haven't taken Ross' classes. The issue I see with his system are his definitions. He sees a gap, looks for a catalyst and will jump in long without considering why the stock is gapping. Your explanation on the why is very good. It also applies to low floats as well as the "normal" stocks. Be able to tell a story and have a plan before you trade.
    Thanks for the information.

    • @RealLifeTrading
      @RealLifeTrading  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hba8103 Totally!!! You are right - and I'm not opposed to low float at all. It's just not for beginners (usually).
      And you are spot on. Explanations are KEY, in every gap and each scenario. Thanks for the kind words! :)

    • @hba8103
      @hba8103 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Man, thanks for the video. Helped clarify some good plays today, although I wasn't patient (or paytient (sic)) enough as you stated in your video with the retracement gaps this morning. Up $1k, but would have been so much better if I had waited on $TSLA, $NVDA and $BABA. Was focused on 1min timeframe and thought I saw good setups. After I looked up at the 15min or even 5min.....perfect retrace wave setups on each one. DUH!! Live and learn. Glad I was able to learn without the normally associated pain. THANKS!
      Gonna check out Part 2 now!!

    Just found your channel have been binge watching and learning. Have watched and tried to follow and even bought the warrior trading intro course. Waste of money that was learned 1000x more from this one video than that course. Also warrior trading is trying to trade gaps over 80% tried it and the market is unstable at that point. Noticed I do better when gaps are less than 25% gap

    Teaching does make a lot of money. But you have to sell it in webinars and online lessons. It's a great passive income. Teaching doesn't make money if you work for the Government, because like all things Government, it's a losing venture :).

    • @LosizakII
      @LosizakII 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pay teachers more! Teachers in America are paid an absolute pittance. I thought about doing it, then found I'd be taking anything from 1/2 to 2/3 of a salary cut. No. Way.

    For the RetestGap down, where the Bearish candle gaps down (i.e. black candle gaps down to another black candle) you said this was all short sellers i.e. buying back their shorted shares. This makes no sense, as they would be 'buyers' and would push the price down? Surely the candle gaping down is either sellers, or more people buying, hoping the trend carries on going down and they can make a short profit?

    • @RealLifeTrading
      @RealLifeTrading  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      K freckles I’m saying WHEN a stock gaps down. Aka ~ after its already occurred. If you have short sellers which created the bearish candle _ those short sellers will buy to cover to lock in gains, causing the retest.

  • @hba8103
    @hba8103 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Look at $NVDA on 6/9. Initially started off as a retracement gap. Strange thing is that there was more buying than selling and it immediately reached it's daily price target (based on ATR) within 5 mins. It did not retest or sell off....until it got slammed and gave up two days worth of gain as people rotated out of TECH.
    I assume this was due to some nervous shorts covering this morning. On the previous day, there was a beautiful retracement gap. Do you have a way to determine when a retracement gap becomes a gap n go, due to a short squeeze? Should you assume gap n go if the stock gaps up significantly two or more days in a row (i.e. more shorts trapped)?

    • @RealLifeTrading

      I'm doing fine as long as I am sticking to a plan and consistent with Risk Reward strategy. I track every transaction to document just that. I am, as described by Jerremy, batting about 46% wins on options and 43% wins on trades. I have been trading since 2005 but never did day trades or shorts until October 2016. Combining a day trading plan with long term investments has paid off rather well. I consider the RLT group my investment in learning for the future as a caregiver to an aging parent. The great thing about "school" is getting paid to go... :)
