Wowie Zowie! Nice collection. My Zappa vinyl collection is getting up there. Think I'm only missing Grand Wazoo and a couple near the end of his recording career. I have promo copies of Apostrophe, Bongo and Overnite. One thing I have is a copy of Waka Jawaka but on the back is Three Dog Night Harmony back cover from 71. From what I can tell it was printed on there and dosen't look like someone pasted it on. There's no cuts or markings to suggest it was done by someone. Couldn't find any info about it. Love that collection!
Cool! Sounds like a great collection, with those promos! That 3 Dog Night sounds like a mispress, an accident at the plant. But it’s still pretty cool. I’ve added a few more Zappa vinyl items to the collection, so it’s still growing. Thanks for checking it out! 👍
I used to have a Chungas Revenge in Spanish called LA Revenga de Chunga. I showed it to FZ who autographed it.Unfortunately it's been lost like so many others.
A wonderful Zappa collection. Always nice seeing this stuff. I kept most of my originals (made a mother’s days video 🤓) but haven’t kept up with all the the reissues. Zapped is fun and yes there are two different cover variants. Thanks for the show.
Mazzy, I just watched your Mother's Day video. As always, very enjoyable Just wondering when you're going to do a Zappa top album countdown. Also, couldn't help be notice that you didn't have Roxy and Elsewhere and One Size Fits All which is possibly his best lp.
I've watched this video in its entirety like 5 times now so I figure I owed you a comment, your collection is seriously amazing, color me jelous! With an artist like Zappa the sheer size of his discography (and of course the consistent quality of EVERY damn record) prods at the collector in me and makes me wish I had as complete a collection as yours, but I'd like to think Im slooooowly getting there. Great stuff!
Great collection! You have some things I don't, I have some things you don't. But not much! Envious over the Newbury comics stuff. Is the big CD video next? Collector of Frank since '73.
Bill's Box Of Sound - Bill! Thanks for watching! I just found your channel and the XTC video, I’m floored, thank you! I DO intend to do a video showcasing my Zappa DAC (Digital Audio Collection), as well as a whole bunch more stuff. I also might remove my Rundgren vinyl video, as I have just made some major additions to it, so I may update that very soon. Now I’m going to check out YOUR Zappa video. I have subscribed! See you later, Sir, and thanks for your kind comments! 😊
KILLER collection! I can already tell I'm going to binge your videos all night! My zappa collection is getting a little out of hand. I recently was fortunate enough to get a copy of Permanent Damage by the GTO's (Girls Together Outrageously)! Anything Zappa touches I'm a sucker for!! I like that you had nothing bad to say about You Are What You Is! Has to be one of my favorites of his 80's stuff! Heavenly Bank Account was one of the songs that made fall in love with his music!
Spins and Needles - I remember seeing Zappa perform “Heavenly Bank Account” on an MTV broadcast back in the 80’s, one of his famous Halloween shows! Fucking brilliant! Found that on TH-cam, and grabbed it to burn to DVD. That, and Hamburg 1978, which is REALLY cool. And a bunch of other stuff. My love for Zappa has grown even more over the last few years. Him and Rundgren, love ‘em both. Bizarre, because they’re SO different.
your man after my own heart, when you start collecting Zappa albums the hooks deep i too like you know what it's like hahaha. i collected all the beat the boots and all the official releases on cd years ago up until the family releases. but over the last two years i started collecting zappa vinyl, it's slow going and hard to buy in the UK but i have all my main albums that i love. is it like that in the States ? does the Zappa trust have a outlet or is like the UK were it points you to Amazon even though there's no stock...
There are lots of on line and Brick and Mortar shops where you can score your loot! I often use Discogs, where you might pay a bit more (and shipping, too, ugh!), but you get WHAT YOU WANT. I often buy overseas, though, for UK/European pressings and, especially lately, UK 45’s of artists I really like (not Zappa, he’s an album kinda guy! 😝) I may be doing an upgrade video because my Zappa collection has grown some, believe it or not! Thanks for tuning in.
i'll look forward to your Zappa up date, do you know about 3-LP Live at Rainbow Theater it's the final show with Flo & Eddie. And "i Want to Hold Your Hand" is on it. isn't that the song he was playing when he was attacked by Trevor Howell. Any way that's out 18th March on pre order. as well as Live at Fillmore East, June 1971 (50th Anniversary) that's all so triple lp. which is released on the same day. cant wait.
1:11:53 "Petroleum" can be heard here, a track by Robert Charlebois and Frank Zappa

Norman Maslov Thanks for watching, Mazzy, really glad you dug it!

Nice Apostrophe. Such strange, but amazing songs on there. Nice channel, I just subscribed. Check out my vinyl videos if you get a chance
