Sadly Megazords have drifted away from what I liked in recent years, but I still applaud their... longevity, I guess. As long as the legacy line holds up, I'll still follow them though.
I don't mean to harp on any youtubers, but why do other toy reviewers have to be really harsh and blow things out of portion when they review Power Rangers toys like this? I don't blame them for getting mad at some things cause I'll admit the Ninja Steel Megazord does have some quality issues. But whenever I see a toy reviewer being overly negative, it just makes me want to get away from them cause I feel it's pointless to get angry at a toy. This is why I like Bruno's optimisitic and positive look on Power Ranger toys. He says some good things about the toys, but he still points out the flaws and problems, but he just laughs it off and doesn't mad at it for having these flaws. He does it in a calming way, where I respond with, "aw well, nothing's perfect anyway" instead of "jeez dude, calm down, it's just a toy." I'm sorry, but there is such a thing as too much negativity to where I just wanna stop watching that person's videos just to get away from it.
Agreed. Even the crappy stuff they will give it a pass just because "it is from Japan". And cool, great and/or amazing stuff from this side of the world they will say: meh.
A part of me hopes that in the future, if they stick with the formula set up by the Rumble Tusk zord, that we get a Dragon zord set that actually comes with a shuriken that can attach to its head to make it more show accurate.
All the parts where you were knocking the Megazords over were stressful to watch. I would not live if I saw my collection being knocked over like that.
Unfortunately, I didn't make it past the part where you "broke" the Dragon's arms using pliers, because I died. Am dead. That was freaking CLASSIC. I lied, I made it all the way to the end. Excellent review, addressing the concerns others have had. It's quite telling that you made such a strong point of saying we know what to expect from a BoA megazord, and the top comment below is saying it's missing a lot of paint, they're so lazy, Japan's isn't missing paint. *sigh* I think that's a lost battle.
OrangeRangerVideos The BoJ version isn't missing paint because it's more expensive. The missing paint and changes in the zords are cost-saving methods so parents don't have to pay more than $40 for a megazord.
Bathroom disasterbypolnareff Preaching to the choir, friend. I was saying that was literally the top comment below the video when I posted that comment.
It's so strange seeing Baltmatrix's review and is treated like the worst megazord we've ever gotten. Maybe his was just faulty? Idk but this review definitely show cases the whole "it's a cheaper but still perfectly good" deal. Anyways, Great video Bernard
I don't want to say it's incredible quality... the Zords aren't what they were back in the day... but still... I'd say a step up from some other Zordbuilder things we've gotten.
I saw that the auxillary Japanese zords fit the US version, so I'm very curious as to whether or not the US Shinobimaru 5-inch figure can sit in Shurikenjin when that comes out. Could be a cost-effective alternative to the premium Bandai figure.
Would love to invest even more on my collection, but living in Portugal, we don't get even half of the toys that you guys get over there. I always try to buy what I can on promotion, but even then, the shipping cost and import taxes drive the price up. Managed to buy the Legacy Thunder Megazord on Black Friday for $66, but shipping + import tax made the price go up to $160, which is its standard retail price in the US, but that's the life of a collector who lives in Europe, where almost no one cares about Power Rangers or Super Sentai /: Anyway, just giving my 2 cents. Keep up the good work, never miss a video. We've started getting Dino Charge toys this month, your videos are making me thinking about buying them, at least the Zords :p
I haven't watched the sentai - is there a coherent theme for these zords that I'm missing? A dragon, a dog, a train, a dump truck, and a humanoid red ranger zord all seem pretty random 🤔
Scott Parker In Ninninger, the components were the Ninningers' favorite things when they were kids. The other reasons were that the designers were fed up with consistent mecha designs and they wanted to make a big mecha based on past mecha themes together as well as representing things from Japanese culture "Cool Japan".
Bathroom disasterbypolnareff is the general consensus from fans that this was a good idea? Did it go over well with Japanese fans? It looks kinda ridiculous to me.
It confounds me that the back of the box rarely shows the official combinations that actually exist on the show. It's almost always: "Hey kids, you can give this thing a motorcycle arm!"
its interesting i went to toys r us in robinson pa yesterday and they didn't even stock the legacy ninja megazord on shelf. they need to get rid of the stuff that isnt really going to sell. its upsetting to not be able to find it at all
This is the first PA comment I've seen that wasn't about how early you guys got the new stuff.... Have you checked a few other stores? PA got the stuff a week and a half or so before I found any here.
senorbusyman Bull Rider (Bison King) looks decent. I think it may be able to combine with the Ninja Steel Megazord and transform into the Buggy, but its alright. The only awesome toy they have is the Lion Fire Fortress, that one is better than the Japanese version, which is very rare.
hi bruno I am a new subscriber sorry i did not subscribe earlier but i couldn't but your stop motion and animations are amazing and you got me into learning how to do this cool stuff do you and Mia use i movie but don't let people pressure you there are just so in to this channel
He was saying that in context of quality and specifically holding together. I have RPM and Valvemax and while they look good, yeah it's not the sturdiest combo.
Your videos are always great. you seem to make any Power rangers toy look like its the best toy out there. you are an amazing presenter and artist. As far as this new megazord that they have out. i really don't like the direction they are going with power rangers now. the designs are not at all appealing to me. But it is what it is i just wanted to share my thoughts. Keep up the good work Bruno thanks for taking the time and making quality videos sir.
I like how you address all the issue that Baltmatrix considered as flaws . But even if I like Power Rangers the last few Megazord are all pass for me I'm keeping my money for the Legacy those are Megazord that looks good and that I really want. Too bad the value of Canadian dollar Vs US is so bad they are more expensive and I can't afford them currently.
Bwahahaha. Amazing review. I hope you incorporate beating up your figures with a wrench in every video now. We need to see the wrench test on EVERYTHING.
So what you said is right. If you glue the blue ninja steel dragon zord, do you move the arms? Because I don't want to move the arms from the blue dragon zord.
actually they haven't always been different from their toei counterparts, that didn't start until operation overdrive, anything before that was pretty minuscule in difference if different at all
There's nobody who knows the toys better than me, it's kinda my thing ;) Overdrive is where molds began changing. But go back to season 1. Stickers were all wrong. Season 2, Thunder Megazord really suffered, losing a bit of color, and again, wrong stickers. Not just stickers though. Look at how many toys also lost lights and sound, die-cast & chrome, as well as paint. Ligthspeed Zords look great. But when you get the Japanese, you'll notice the difference in the tires on the Lightspeed Megazord (which were rubber in Japan). Wild Force was a great line, but Gaoranger still had more paint/stickers/etc. So, in nearly every case, even when the molds were shared, the Japanese toys still had a little more goin' on.
The reason why it's not the same as Japan is that Bandai doesn't want Super Sentai fans who don't know about Power Rangers spot Power Rangers toys and think it's the Japanese toys packed in the wrong box.
Hey Bruno, Awesome review like always, love the new toys they look great. I saw the Ninja Steel Morphers and the foam Stars selling at my local Toys R Us Canada yesterday night but nothing at Walmart Canada. It has been a challenge to get Titano Charge Megazord in Canada none anywhere.
I found out that putting an arm on the back makes it too back-heavy for combos, also they should've kept the dragon mode star, that mode's head is too small without it.
The Logical Choice Bandai America chooses not to so that they can reduce costs. If they used the Japanese mold, they would have to sell it for twice the price. That wouldn't sit well with parents buying megazords for their kids.
Sucks for Bandai a little. Adult fans (mostly) just want the Japanese toys. If Bandai were to sell the Japanese toys, those same people would just complain they're the same as Japan (but still lacking paint) and they'd still want the original version anyway, and by the time the show comes to the US, that season is cheap on Amazon, and Bandai America wouldn't be able to compete with the deeply discounted toys that are actually better quality (but of course didn't start out that cheap, someone is just trying to get rid of them).
The movie, for sure! That looks great. I still enjoy the show, but it's not what it was. Dino Charge felt like it was going to be a great season. Really not sure what happened in the second half. I certainly hope for the best with Ninja Steel and I am excited for a new season to start. Hopefully it'll be good!
+MMPRtoys It was the Japanese pink triceritops - you said where very careful and it still broke. SH figuarts too. (I'm a big collector of those too! Thankfully I haven't run into quite as many breaks as you talked about). I'm only joking - I know you take pains to keep the Japanese version in good condition.
It's kinda funny that I've had more Japanese stuff break on me than US. Almost nothing from the US has ever broken, but I do have a number of things from Japan that cracked. :-/
Bruno, since you were talking about the Japanese shuriken being too big for the Ninja Steel megazord. I was wondering have you tried the candy toy shuriken? would they stay on the Ninja Steel megazord? Please let me know and Thank you.
I'm not nuts about the dragon mode on either zord. They just seem clunky. I'm good with my Titan Megazord's dragon formation. That was a thing of beauty!
They've been out for some time, if you can find them! I'm having a lot of trouble finding those. So far I've just seen a few at a Target in Burbank, CA.
I think the zordbuilder argument is invalid this time around due to the Ninninger toys' large amounts of combination compatibility, leaving the price as the only thing this version has going for it. But that's just my two cents.
Honestly.. I'm more of a fan for the japanese versions nowadays. Was a huge fan of Power Rangers when I was younger but that changed. Even though the Ninja Steel Megazord is in so many ways inferior to the original (matieral, paint, size in some cases) there is actually a little thing about this thing that is BETTER than the original. The leg articulation. While Sentai Robos are usually bricks (literally for Zyuohger xD) this buddy there actually gives some nice leg movement and it really looks cool. Imagine Sentai would start to do this with the same quality they're doing right now (except Zyuohger which are still just bricks)
Gotcha. The only issue I've had with a Zord was the PR: Samurai ClawZord, the arms were a little loose but they held their position so it wasn't a major problem
Some people get good luck in toy hunting sometimes they don't , my pterazord leg port is super loose but on others it's fine. Most figuart original agito heads look fine mine doesn't . Just because a person doesn't experience the problem doesn't mean it's not their .
yeah I'm hoping they give us a shuriken for dragon zord instead of just leaving us with just his head as the face of dragon mode. I'm thinking it might just be another repaint zord like the elephant variant that is out.
I don't see that happening...it's not enough to sell another megazord for. Maybe, like Bruno said, in one of the Star Packs, but even then they are made of foam, so I don't expect a Dragon headed one. But here's the thing...I didn't realize ShurikenJin Dragon's Shuriken HAD a dragon head on it, and honestly it looks redundant on the toy. The thing has TWO dragon heads. On the Ninja Steel it doesn't look all that bad without one.
To me it does since I have watched the show it looks much better in the show for sure and i do agree it looks redundant but it does make it look better proportion wise instead of no neck we have without it
The Amazon price for the Japanese ninniger megazord is great i think for what you get , might get the America one for dragon mode since I got the ufo guy on my Japanese one
The Megazord looks different, wacky that is. I´am think it has to grow on me, i really like the Ranger Suits but the Zords are i don´t know ? But i´am a completionist so i will get it i think. But only the Japanese one´s. I miss the 90´s and early 2000 when the toys had a way better quality then today. I don´t want to say that Zordbuilder is totaly bad but is a very big downgrad to what i´m used to have years ago. But i also understand Bandai wich have to see quallety vs sales ect. Luckely we still have the Legacy line^^ Ohh and before i forgett this nice video as always Bruno thumbs up for that^^
Wow. Maybe you had an American Goseigreat that had bad QC. Mine wasn't floppy at all. A bit loose at the waist connection, but that's it. As for this, I can't see why Bandai America couldn't have had proper Power Stars/Shuriken across the board instead of the foam crap for the sword and the differently molded plastic ones for the Megazord hats (AND not having a proper one for the Ninja Steel Megazord's Dragon Mode)
Here is the thing obviously you will get more if you pay more and since people are like "why cant we have the japanese molds" and forget they tried to sell them with Shinkenoh and Gosei Great and stopped that probably due to lack of sales. I dont mind the look and let's be fair a lot of adult fans are overly dramatic over these toys and honestly I like the Ninja steel megazord and planning to pick this up.
i love this year's megazord not as in design but the toy i usually have complaints about paint and stuff but it is where it needs to be my one and only complaint is there is no shuriken for the dragon mode head but that is it for me other than that this is the best Main megazord since RPM
My biggest gripes with these simplified megazords is that their new transformations will always clash with the show, which is asinine because the transformation sequence (that's probably shown in EVERY episode) is supposed to teach you how to work the toy. American kids will be scratching their heads at the separating legs, or the non-changable blades.
I have a feeling American kids won't know what they're missing, if they don't already follow Ninninger. Plenty of kids still don't know it's a show from Japan, and these days, it's a lot harder to tell.
Sure, they don't know about the Japanese version, but I'm talking about comparing the stock footage from the show (which is shown on both sides of the pond) to the toy. I imagine there are a lot of kids who are thinking "Hey, the toy doesn't work like that!" when they watch the show.
I think most kids can figure it out. Kids who are under 8 or 9 weren't alive to know the transformations were more accurate in Japan. Over here, they understand the toy looks a lot like it does on TV, but this is a toy, and what they're seeing on TV is "real." Now, if they were watching a show that used the same toy they had, and then they bought the toy and it worked differently than TV, that would be a different story. If you want to confuse kids, add some extra legs to the Lion Thunderzord in just one scene and never explain it ;)
2:46 is the biggest fail in my opinion, they should have had it be a port on the back of the dump truck and a hole on the train (kinda like what they did for the gosei great megazord but in reverse).
Being "a dick" has never really been my thing. I'm so nice it's almost comical. I'm here to inform and entertain. I read a lot of comments and many people asked me about legs and dragon arms, so this is my reply. :-/
Ninja steel is going to collapse on itself! At least the Japanese doesn't have the zord builder parts! Legacy line has to get rid of zord builder for good!
Maybe Megaforce.... It was shot nicely... but just... lacking something. And I'm not sure Super Megaforce was much better. Some good things, but they really could have done so much more with it.
I think it's still a great megazord... why people just focus on the paint and take it so hard... Both of 2 version are very cool... and It's a cool Review anw! I Love that!
That's one sturdy megazord. Taking all that punishment and it's still in excellent condition.
Sadly Megazords have drifted away from what I liked in recent years, but I still applaud their... longevity, I guess. As long as the legacy line holds up, I'll still follow them though.

Supposedly they will release 5 inch more detailed "sit zords". So, hopefully, we can get a dragonzord with the shuriken hat thing.
Wow. I’m glad I got the Japanese version. It’s really different and WAY better than the American Bandai version.
I have to say because of ninja steel bandai's American toys have really improved
I think they made it really tight because of how loose the ports got on the dinocharge megazords
Also, I'm loving the new backdrop! Very nice!
Thanks! :)

the ninninger megazord when you press the button on the zord head, you get a sound
Mmprtoys do you have Dino charge gold ranger morpher

I think the zordbuilder argument is invalid this time around due to the Ninninger toys' large amounts of combination compatibility, leaving the price as the only thing this version has going for it. But that's just my two cents.
11:10 isn’t the saying “I’ll bend but won’t break”? The Rumble Tusk said “I’ll break but won’t bend.” instead. 😂
Imagine Sentai would start to do this with the same quality they're doing right now (except Zyuohger which are still just bricks)
huh so in guessing baltmatrix might have had a qc issue with his toy's legs
is it me or do the zords seem random, dump truck, train, dragon, dog ranger whT do those things have in common.
Yes. Very random in the US. It's a Japan thing.
What was the point of breaking the Dragon's arms?
You guys wanted to know if it was an issue.
Gotcha. The only issue I've had with a Zord was the PR: Samurai ClawZord, the arms were a little loose but they held their position so it wasn't a major problem
So were there complaints about the Dragon Zords arms online, or did Bruno just feel sadistic today?
To me it does since I have watched the show it looks much better in the show for sure and i do agree it looks redundant but it does make it look better proportion wise instead of no neck we have without it
why did u break the arm on the blue zord? was that a dig at another reviewer? i think i saw another review where his got broken after 5min of play..
kkjcid I think he noticed it felt especially weak, so he tested how strong it was. That way he can point out if you need to be careful with it
I'm responding to issues people were asking about. Someone said the arms break off very easily, right out of the box. I tested it.
excellent testing... full marks
I have five US Gosei Greats. They're all the same.
***** Ouch. That sucks. Guess Bandai America really has been taking notes from Hasbro the last few years: craptastic QC and even worse distribution.
Love the christmas decorations guys.
I just noticed the red zord has the same knees as the red ape zord from the 95 movie.
5:46, try to put kirim, mogua, kuma, and kourmori from zyuohger on to the mystery pegs (yes I misspelled their names)
I have to tell you something that you aren't going to believe and it is that Broody,s dad returned on episode 20 Galvinax Rizes.
I don't like the train attachment and how the dragon hand is
My biggest gripes with these simplified megazords is that their new transformations will always clash with the show, which is asinine because the transformation sequence (that's probably shown in EVERY episode) is supposed to teach you how to work the toy.
Somebody's decorated for Christmas:)
I just found this on sale at Walmart for $30 bought it but I haven't opened it yet I wanted to see how it works first lol
So basically what Brunos saying is that Baltmatrix got a bad Megazord.
Well that and is being kind of a dick to him as well.
Being "a dick" has never really been my thing. I'm so nice it's almost comical. I'm here to inform and entertain. I read a lot of comments and many people asked me about legs and dragon arms, so this is my reply. :-/
RondoOfBloodP
I bet... they will have a dragon exclusive megazord.
do you like the new alpha 5 concept art
Looks good to me!
dragon mode is not on the box because they probably will sell it as a separate zord just like the elephant lol
What about the bullrider megazord
Ninja steel is going to collapse on itself! At least the Japanese doesn't have the zord builder parts! Legacy line has to get rid of zord builder for good!
I'm going to Image Anime in New York in December, do they have kamen rider stuff
You should check out our Image Anime videos or their website ;) They had a lot of Kamen Rider stuff last time I was there!
Did you see the ninja steel training gear
That was the first Ninja Steel post on our Instagram. Not at all exciting for collectors. They're tiny, for very little kids.
It's a shame
So when I see Bruno again I'm keeping my toys under lock and key lol
You can't hide!
How much is the u.s. one
Maybe they'll do a rerelease of this with an "official" dragon version? that would include the proper shuriken for the head?
That seems unlikely, same way they never did a proper ape for Samurai.
Bruno, in your opinion, what do you think is the worst season?
Maybe Megaforce.... It was shot nicely... but just... lacking something. And I'm not sure Super Megaforce was much better. Some good things, but they really could have done so much more with it.
I think it's still a great megazord... why people just focus on the paint and take it so hard...
Both of 2 version are very cool... and It's a cool Review anw! I Love that!
come on, why didn't they do the train zord like gosia great. like, CME ON BANDIA. like so they can see
8:42 what time is it everybody?
Toooooooool Time!
I like the Megazords that can do 2 modes for instance I liked the tank mode on the original MMPR Megazord
I have the ninja megazord to but I was trying to get the pese thet the red zords feet go on got stuck in the dumpytruck zord
If you beat them up more they'll be the new haunted silver ranger
