      @@1Whipperin Revelation had immediate relevance for John’s early readers as they faced persecution such as that under Domitian.
      This can be understood to mean that these events will begin to unfold relatively quickly and continue to happen until they are completely fulfilled at the second coming of Christ. It suggests that there is a sense of urgency and that the fulfillment of these events will progress steadily until they reach their ultimate completion when Christ returns.
