Lllloyd Machiwenyika yeaaaaahhhhh..... imma go ahead and be the asshole and say that Zoey needed to have BEEN cut off. She needed to have been earning her own money as soon as she was able to. At least during summer break, because I can understand the not wanting her to have to split her attention between work and school. This is why she doesn’t truly understand the value of a dollar.
We all gotta start somewhere. Even If we don’t like it. Low key Doug is becoming my favorite. He may be replacing aaron but never trevor🤔😂.

Her parents should have told her that. But Dre spoiled the hell out of her. I bet you the rest of his children wouldn't gave these type of problems. Junior has exposed himself to hard situations all his teen years. The twins gave different battles and try their best to overcome them. But everythimg has been handed to Zoey. She's learning now
As a girl who grew up in an upper middle class family and then went to college I totally understand where Zoey's coming from. I was spoiled as well growing up. And all the people surrounding me were also spoiled. Then just like Zoey I started to struggle to adjust to being on my own. So my parents forced me to go off and figure things out. Still providing me with basic needs. But I needed to get a job to fund the expensive lifestyle I was used to. I honesty accepted it pretty easily. But there towards the start of my customer service career was a part of my brain that said I'm better then this. Even though I'm not. I defiantly notice that all my friends are off doing these amazing internships and here I am getting yelled at by strangers. But get over yourself you got into this situation so you have to get out of it. You are not better then them.

I feel like it’s so easy to understand where she’s coming from like u have to think about her background as to why she acts like this and I think people are just forgetting about that and quick to come at her.

That’s great that you shared that story but what I don’t understand is how someone could think they’re better because of their PARENTS accomplishments. Zoeys lifestyle and people like her lifestyle is a result of their parents accomplishments, not theirs. So how would someone who was just floating threw life think they are entitled and above everyone else when they didnt contribute or experience the hard work that resulted in their parents successes?
LifeFilmz i honestly think it all just falls back on the parents in the show and in life in general. Not saying that what zoey is doing is acceptable because it’s not, it’s downright sad and annoying, but if ur parents spoil u from birth and give and provide everything for you and even make u their favorite child, it’s very hard to grow out from that root as you grow up

i always thought that was the worst rip off ever. You buy these books $130-$150each from the bookstore. Next semester you bring the same books back with no damage on them and they give you $20-$30 for each. 😅😅😅
Tayina P I have always told people to either rent the e-versions of those books or, if that wasn’t possible, to buy the international version. Same book, different pictures and cover, waaaaaayyyyyy less money.

Idfc_ItsMe The Third Your right she did have a good life: both her parents had good stable jobs, grew up in a positive environment, she lived in a nice house, never had to worry about money issues and had a lot given to her by her gracious parents. But since she had a lot given to her she never really needed to work so when struck by the idea to work menial jobs to obtain her common luxuries she was shocked, but that’s expected because she was raised with certain customs of comfort. She is allowed to be shocked because the idea of working is new to her because she never had to before but her being unwilling to work and thinking she is above the average working individual because she had an impressive internship prior is - disgusting. Being pretentious and acting in the way she does ( although she is still growing and changing into an adult) isn’t typically publicly accepted and is frowned up and being any race or black, as you said isn’t an excuse.

Zoe is going through her second season Whitley Gilbert phase and i love it lol when we see the arrogance/pretentiousness slowly- and quite uncomfortably- chipped away to reveal a somewhat level headed and mature adult. I love this show.

Also I love that Doug is so wise for his age. I respect young adults who have that mentality- those are the ones that make it. One of the things I have to ask myself daily is “are you going to be chose or are you going to impose?” Meaning are you going to work hard to become so dominant at what you do/know that people seek you out or are you going to force yourself in positions you may not be ready to handle (like Zoe did with the mannequin) small gems.
I'm just happy that Diggy Simmons has a job ❤️

Idk why you guys are so mad a Zoe for being privileged. She’s been spoiled her whole life and to her that’s the norm. Not to mention she went to a private school with other rich kids.... Her being in school and having friends of different backgrounds is good for her. She’s now noticing that not everyone has money and that some of her habits are a bit much. She’s not a bar person just naive and self centered. But she’s clearly changing. It’s not going to happen over night or the very next episode. Her dad cut her off because he realized that he had a hand in her being this way and wants her to learn and figure it out for herself. At the end of this episode you can see that she realized that maybe she is a bit much and that she isn’t too good for a job at the bookstore. Heck if any of you are use to a certain lifestyle and someone comes and tries to make you do/ be something else you would reject it too. If she stays that way then yes that’s not good. Not to mention she’s dating a guy that’s as privileged as her. Let her learn and grow that’s what college is for

They give you tools and advice and let you know what you will run into but you’ll never learn anything unless you go out there and do it yourself. She could have resold those textbooks online on a school forum or fb page for like $40 each or more considering she probably never even opened one. That huge one on the bottom could have been sold for like $60 or $70 or if she had any new edition books that aren't often available used. That could have been $300 easy if she just knew how to use the system. No one resells their textbooks at the bookstore unless they dont need money that bad. I have legit paid my rent reselling old textbooks and test banks (which can be resold multiple times if it's a pdf 😉)

The problem with this show is they made the girl who is normally just a part of a true ensemble cast with no lead characters, the lead character and her friends are side characters with no real depth and storylines.
