Ive always figured the Step Jump was mostly for people with "mad skillz" doing some fancy mixing/tricks during live performances, and did not expect it to allow for such "high speed/precision automations"..! Thanks a bunch for your videos on the uses of this feature! Total gamechanger :P
Huh... I have had the sampler synth version for over two years and I have never bothered to find out how powerful tool the Step Jump is. Didn't realize that you can do kick ass fills with it and compose. Even though the cutoff tweaks were done on the fly, they sounded nice. Reminded me of the Kraftwerks early music from the 1970, when they did their first performance in the German TV show Rockpalast. Florian Schneider played an quirky instrument called Tubon. Nice to know that the Electribe can produce so reminiscent sounds. Thanks for the video. Edit: Couple of issues. Does not work all that well with delay. When synced to external clock and plays in sequence with other devices it breaks the sync.
Hey Ron, first off great video! I when I try it however after creating the drone note and trying to modify specific steps it seems that the whole note changes instead of the desired step. I’m not sure what I’m doing but I’m sure it’s something small lol
you have to split the note. In other words, go to the gate and turn it down anything but max, and it should "chop" the end of the note, then you can break free and change the note. :)
