I love that your knife reviews also teach newbies like me! I'm learning the terminology (drop point, spine, etc) from your reviews. I like this little fixed blade. Thank you for the review.
I have this knife, and have used it in a daily carry on occasion. I don't EDC a fixed, but when I need a small fixed for what ever I am doing this is one of the ones I go to often. I am a fixie fiend, and can say this blade has a lot of solid use in it. it is MUCH easier to carry and use than the Izula original, that is a about 3/8" shorter in the handle, and does not have scales, but just a skeletonized bare handle. ( that would be the "older" version you had) Esee has a really good history with their 1095, and their warranty is outstanding. after market scales are available. I personally really like my Izula II scales. I do wish the sheath had a dangler, but that is not too hard to fix.
Esee Izula II ! This is probably my one knife! I've carried mine everyday for the last 4yrs.... at least. I'm not a fan of the sheath at all. I see what they were trying to do... I get it. I scout carry mine in an Armatus sheath. Armatus make excellent kydex sheath. I have them for all of my Esee knives. Stay Sharp!
Good little knife. Love mine in S35VN. I put a custom kydex sheath on mine and a mummert knives Ti clip so it can go in the pocket, but I also have pull-the-dot snaps for scout carry . Great user, lots of carry options. The factory sheath is meh... its a little too wide/bulky.
Good review.. I think you certainly should try other variations of the Izula! I have 6 of them!! It’s my all time favorite edc and I’m a fixed blade edc guy! Don’t forget to consider “the knife connection” extended scales for the S35VN model.

Glad you got some good info from it Dawn.😉👍
If I can ever fit fixed blades into my edc, I will definitely add an Esse to my collection.
Let's go!!! I don't own any fixed blades yet but I'm definitely interested! 🤘
Excellent review, brother!
It's an excellent starter fixie Nate. Thanks for checking it out.👊

Awesome review, brother! The fixed blade of the week for me is Coldsteel Master Hunter! Love and prayers for Mrs Edge and you!
Thanks EE! I went in on the base Izula recently...and uh...kind of wish I went with the longer II version. 👊
Looks like a really good option. Doing my best to stay sharp; I hope you guys are doing okay too.
