Jerma is an inspiration to me. Not only is he funny as hell but when you take the jokes away you have a guy who loves helping others. Been a fan of him for I don't know how long and even today he's as sincere and genuine as he was back then. Never change

It's not an American thing. But, I can say that I've met plenty of people who can't swim. To be fair, I manage a pool, so I might not be the best source of an accurate demographics. Usually, though, when people say "they can't swim", they just mean they don't know how to do it well. On a side note, swimming is something that is just not valued in the black demographic. I don't know what it is. But, most adults who don't know how to swim are black.
the depression comment is pretty accurate - you have to find a way to step out ahead of your sadness and do something that will make you happy without necessarily trusting yourself. By making someone or something else happy, you 'accidentally' make yourself happy, and its a lot easier to see incentive in making others happy than in believing you're even able to make yourself happy if you're in a particularly depressed state.
Jerma is like the uncle that everyone in the family loves to hang out with. He will talk to you about life and also make you laugh. Throwing life lessons like at 11:00 onwards. He is just amazing and truly a gift.
Getting into Jerma is like learning about a supernatural phenomenon that dates back a hundred thousand years ago that you never knew existed until just recently.

In the US there are usually state or local programs that can help you with the cost if you can't afford insurance. Look up "therapist near me", call a place and literally just ask for help with the process. They can usually tell you the best next step to take even if you won't be using their practice. It can be very hard, but connecting to a professional on a regular basis can be a rewarding accomplishment. Don't be afraid to keep looking for help if you don't like whom you've met with.
