Just bought a Uniden sds100. Problems with USB and Dentinal program not finding a driver for windows. Plug usb in bottom slot. Turn off the computer. Plug usb into computer. Re-start the computer. Mass usb will display on scanner. Hit the E key to except the hook up. Now The software works with the sds100 Uniden.
Any reason why most DMR repeaters use UHF if the mode and bandwith is the same tried UHF side of same location hardly making it yet another repeater on VHF using P25 able to hear my PARROT traffic and its at same location.
Ok, radio reads and writes, but I cannot get to type in my serial number.just received my id number and figured that now it would work. But even using 3 different pc I cannot input my serial number. Could sure use some help. Am using windows 7 pro.
I just bought a tyt md-mv380. It finished the code-plug and was feeling pretty good then it would not let my computer write the code-plug to the radio. The message was that the usb was not connected or was busy. Has anyone ever seen such a message and then got past that. I'm about to be confused.
I have noticed something weird with the MD-380. There are time when the unit goes to sleep if there is a long enough pause between 2 people talking. It seems that the Name and call list will turn gray and then all of a sudden things become quiet. I know there is someone talking because I see the activity on my Openspot. If I depress the press to talk button, I then get the audio again. I don't understand why this is happening. Mark KB3Z
You would have to work out those 16 Color codes : 0 to 15 and the Time slots and Talk groups and zones. if they don't list it, then good luck finding it.
No, Hytera is not the same as Tytera. There are other companies with similar names to Hytera that are not related. While the radio may work on Hytera networks, not all features may work. Same with Motorola networks. For example, roaming is not functional on the MD380 on Mototrbo.
Anyone know how to solve the issue when using Windows 10 the CPS software doesn't read or write from/to the radio because it says it doesn't detect anything is connected? I've used software and drivers from both Radioddity and TYT directly.
Great video, very informative. Just one question, I have my UV ms-380 set up with my hotspot, jumbospot, and can key into it but no audio. The radio gives me every indication of transmitting a signal but nothing heard. Tried a test with Parrot and still no luck. Regards from a Canadian newbie.

+Casey Perkinson u have to register for an ID, and know the color code. The talk group is for the region like worldwide, nationwide of statewide, then there are 2 tine slots. usually one for main traffic one for private call, or several options

Can I get some help with my hotspot programing? It used to work. Now i also went to Brandmeister.net and added a password and got a confirmation email. But according to my hotspot it shows my callsign when programing. But never hear or can contact anybody. Have also check wifi and it shows the hotspot connected. Any help appreciated N6ZKI
What kind of licence do you need to use this radio? Freq wise I think in the USA a ham technician licence. But don't know about DMR. This is new to me. Thank you if you answer.
The MD380 is Part 90 certified, so can be used on commercial channels. To transmit, you'll need to be authorized to use those frequencies. It is not Part 95, so is not legal on GMRS/FRS. It is legal on US ham bands with a technician license or above.
Very informative. One question, I'm still running Windows 7 on my PC. Is this compatible with the programming software? That will be the decision maker. (Too many problems with v.10). Thanks.
Good afternoon, I am having issues with the programing software, every time i try to read it it says "The model is wrong!" and It says MD-380 and VHF is selected. I dont know what else to try or do? I turn on the unit and plug it up and then try to read it. Any help would solve so much pain
If it doesn't read the info from the radio first, then anything on the software means nothing. If it says cannot communicate, then you must first check your cable driver and settings for COM port. If it is going to 100% when you click read radio, then we can go further.
I guess two people transmitting on two different group calls on the same time slot and frequency won't work ? But two people on the same frequency on two different time slots would work.
Very good video but I do find american presenters talk too quick, not sure if any other viewers in UK find this same problem or is it just me and an age thing, anyway thanks Eric for a good video
It's a shitty radio, menu is awful and you rely on a computer for almost anything. Brightness cannot be adjusted. Scanning is a pain. Tone volumes are loud and doesn't lower with volume knob, overall your money is better spend on something like the Anytone etc.
I've had an MD-380 for about four years, so it's about time I fired it up. Thanks for the video.

Ray Podesta I haven't programmed in about a year but if I remember correctly you can put the receive and transmit frequencies in separately.

Naw, just program like shown. The new firmware just unlocks some new features and fixes a few bugs

CT BEA the dual-band version of this radio is the MD-UV380. Guts are exactly the same except for the addition of VHF capability.

This is a UHF handheld. VHF Shouldnt be selected.
Weird, it says the frequency range is something like 140 to 175. so maybe its messed up? and the pre programmed channel one is 144.000
