Bass line is combination of Three synths First Massive vst for Low Bass, Second Korg Polysix for fat detuned Saw wave bass, and third was Arturia Minimoog with a lot of filer action that depends on velocity - with some kind of light distortion on it and room reverb. Yes overall result is close to original bass, but not similar
Now Im using bounced Wav backing track from sonar and then running just reason and playing live and record in reason then mixed it with backing track, but when i preparing Cover i use Reason with rewire in sonar. I didnt use Cubase. Just dig it man, and everything will be great. Maybe ill shoot some tutorial explanation video soon. Cheers

What im playing(actual samples) comes from Reason NN-xt sampler with multiple outputs and Fx on each sample group, other sounds come from Sonar with loads of Vst like Battery 4 for drums, Massive, Korg Polisix and minimoog vst for bass sounds

Hey, software for this DM instrumental-- Sonar for backing stuff, Reason for live playing, guys, there is no proper backing track for this song, so i spent a lot of time to do this track, arturia stuff for bass part, 3 layers of bass, Drum programming, ofcourse, there is original samples, if you are Truly fan of Depeche Mode sound production you will find the way)) Lead sound is not original samples, its actually pretty easy to recreate, i did it with thor synth, than sliced it to sampler with some filter variations. Seriosly guys, a lot of work and sound engineering research!
