LOOK AT YOUR ROADS IN AMERICA - DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE LOOOOSE THEIR LIVESSSSSS IN GHANA BY CAR ACCCIDENT? IN Ghana, you dont get a job unless your father knows someone who knows someone. How many females entered the Army or Police force in USA who did not have to sleep with people so they can have the advancement into the job? How many girls in the Ghana Immigration Service got the chance without being sexually assaulted in Ghana? OPEN YOUR EYES!!!!!! I JUST DECIDED TO SPEAK MY MIND. MAKE YOUR 6 MY 9! If you buy house and pay it off, you will always pay taxes on the land. If you get behind or default on your property taxes the land and property goes right back to the government. Also the wages you make does not keep up with inflation, which can be stressful and itself.

I’m an American. Living in Ghana gives us a tremendously different lifestyle than America can. You can have a family making $250,000 a year here and they still typically have to cook their own food, clean their own house, drive themselves to work, and so much more. Taking retirement funds or passive income of even $3,000-$5,000 a month allows us to live what we would consider to be a high class lifestyle in Ghana. In order to live an equivalent lifestyle in the U.S., you typically need to be making $500,000 a year.
Africans here become very successful because compared to Black Americans and that’s even at a middle class level. The younger generation of Africans here are aiming to become wealthy as quickly as possible so even their parent’s method of getting a degree and a good job is too slow so business and investing is the big focus.

This highlights the importance of perspective. I'm Black American (BA) and have rarely personally experienced many of the issues (racism, police brutality, bank discrimination, etc.) that are motivating other BAs to leave the U.S. I Joined the military and have traveled to or lived in over 40 countries and regardless of where I've been, I've encountered adversity of some type. But I didn't let the adversity cripple or define me, and that is largely due to perspective. In my personal experience, the advantages in the United States, relative to the other places I've been far outweigh the disadvantages. Many BAs who are relentlessly complaining about racism are the same people who take things like electricity, clean/running tap water, and even paved roads for granted. I'm in the Caribbean at my mother-in-law's house as we speak. She's using a gas cylinder to cook on her stove, a heater pump to make the water in her shower hot, and there's hardly air conditioning anywhere: in a country where temps have hovered near 100 degrees for the past week. Conversely, there is NO ONE suffering from food insecurity here- from the homeless to the prime minister, agriculture is the heartbeat of the country and everyone is willing to share or give away fresh, naturally grown food to anyone. Many people can't afford cars here and walk miles everywhere they go, But its not uncommon for someone with a car to offer them a ride, and its safe enough to do so- even for small children. So that is the power of perspective: If I came to the west Indies with the typical BA attitude I wouldn't make it. Id constantly complain about the bus system, the lack of air conditioning, the roads, etc. But because of the power of perspective, I can acknowledge there is good and bad everywhere and in everyone. The key is to not focus strictly or overly on the bad. Otherwise, you end up making a mountain out of a mole hill.

I hear what you're saying, but you're kinda comparing apples to oranges. You said here in the U.S. we "complain" about racism, but if we went somewhere else we'd complain about amenities.
Apples to apples would be a Black American moving to the island and NOT having to deal with racism. The amenities won't be the same, but neither would the terrorism. I assume it's safe to say you have NO racial anxiety where you are, yes?
Also, my experience is somewhat similar to yours. Never really dealt with racism directly, went into the military and adapted well with everyone, and felt like our people should stop "complaining" so much. HOWEVER, overtime, the Lord began to open my eyes and prick my heart to what OUR PEOPLE were going through. I didn't necessarily experience things directly, but our people were hurting. The Lord reminded me of Esther in the Scriptures. Regardless of her position as queen, she was like, "that's my people", and she fought/advocated for them. We have to do the same. We can be well off, but we still have to advocate for our people 🙏🏾.

Questions like, who owns money printing in Africa? Who decides on the value of currencies in Africa? Isn't it Europe / US? So, while Africa is full of rich resources, they are economically poor. May be what he should do as a youth is study these aspects and investigate how he could collaborate with conscious youths to lobby against the West and US ownership of the global economy. This is a clear case of racial divide. Granted that there may be a few Africans who make money and appear to be rich.....but what is rich as an African when the majority of Black peoples are deliberately impoverished by Euro / US design. I sincerely wish him all the best if he gets to the U.S. What he is saying is delusional for example, as an American African the African friends I know those who are somewhat successful it is typically because they have family and/or friends they can live with. In truth, no matter where you live in the US it is extremely expensive even those with degrees often have to settle for menial jobs such as janitorial and jobs paying below the living wage. Instead, many of the Africans I've met live 6 to 10 people in a house and they are only able to save because of living in these overcrowded circumstances. The sad part is that often they don't tell their families the truth about the conditions they are living under in the west. When they mention making $17 to $20 usd this seems like a lot of money compared to many African currencies however, this is nowhere near enough to live on in the west. Even in bad neighborhoods it is currently between $900 to $1000 usd for rent and there are few jobs that pay blue collar workers more than $ 2000 monthly. And, lets keep in mind that the $2000 monthly income is before taxes therefore only those who don't understand the cost of living in the west will get excited about this salary. I was born and raised in the US and the only way many of us are able to stay on track is either through military service, and/or other jobs that offer benefits/pensions based on years of commitment and sadly every year those jobs have become few and far in between. Last but not least, I would advise that if anyone insists on moving out west he/she had better stay alert at all times because the current climate in the us is based on Nationalism otherwise known as WS..

For all those that want to leave, maybe giving Africa a try will work for you. I would love to visit Africa, but as far as living goes, I’m going to stay right here with all my comforts and love every minute of it! ❤

So those leaving Ghana to America when they get there where are they going to live. That is even if they make it there. America is not all that you think it is. Those who have moved to Ghana have worked all their life in America and are living on Social Security. You have the brain to create your own job. Ghana is not expensive. Accra is and you can decide not to live in Accra. He is only looking at the monthly earnings. Grass is green when you water it. He is very naive. He has no idea. Traveling legally with a green card is the way to go not traveling ignorantly thinking you will make it when you get there.

You will always be reminded how you do not belong and cannot be heard. The psycological torture is real and draining. I know of African brothers who thought they had gained a white wife who will actually show her true colours when she asks for a divorce. Some parts are good but be prepared to face the challenges.

America is ok to work here and make money but the money is not what you think. $100k a year in America is not really as much as u think once you’re taxed and all of your living expenses are paid. Can u live good with that amount..sure..but don’t think you’re in a higher class e cause u make $100k..Secondly living in Ghana as far as culture, stress free, peace, safety etc is way better than living in America..If Ghana had a good economy it wouldn’t even be necessary to have this conversation.

Anyone that disagrees with this man ,i dare them to pack up their things and book a one way ticket to Africa and see whether you will also be complaining?
This man is right in every point. Most African countries are filled with corruption, HIV, tribalism, no employment, low wages etc.
Of course no country is perfect ,but the point is that UK, US ,is "relatively " better to live in than Africa. Goverment offer benefits for poor and disabled, though in Africa the poor and disabled are left to beg on the street and enter various occult practices.
Anyway , not all will take this advice but this is my honest opinion coming from an African.

I enjoyed hearing his perspective. I actually believe in much of what he’s saying, expand your mind and strive to see the world if you want. However, he understands very little about racism in America. Racism is much deeper and visceral than he thinks. There is so much mental health crisis in America and for Black people it’s not because daddy couldn’t pick us up from school. Many fathers are absent, in prison or dead. The system applies so much pressure on Black people. Dealing with the police is traumatizing. He had one encounter but try living that life filled with rejection, fear, outcasts, suppression, oppression, poverty where you can’t take care of your child. Anxiety, depression and PTSD is real.
We also have extremely poor Black people in America. Many are homeless or beggars who eat out of the trash. America will never show the world the disparities of people of color or the great divide. We also have what is called black on black crime where our own people join gangs to feel a sense of belonging and to gain respect in their communities because the systems in America takes pride in emasculating the Black man. As a matter of fact, millions upon millions of our men are living behind prison bars due to policies and laws created just for them but the same laws do not apply to white people.
I understand his frustration with the system in Ghana because it is undeveloped and because of it the people suffer, even educated people so encouraging the Ghanaian to think bigger and get out if they can, I get it. And yes, it is much easier for people from the Diaspora to do well in Ghana because of the currency exchange rate sets it up that way BUT as you can see more of them are coming compared to us (Black people) because we honestly don’t have as much money as Ghanaians believe and many of us live off of the credit system in America. That’s all I’ll say.

The only difference between Ghana & America is access to financing. Once you find a way to track ppl that owe money, you can get ppl to set up a bank & charge interest. Even setting up a compound for ex-pats w/condos & Hoa fees for security & transport will work.A private security company to escort tourists will even work.Even writing a manual for integration into Ghana for ex-pats will make money.A handbook of the difference in laws & how to buy property/land,cars for ex-pats & tourists will sell even in the airport. As long as the government supports the initiatives to grow the economy, the possibilities are endless.

All the foreigners starting companies in the motherland aren't rich. Other races work together to succeed. They help each other but many blacks don't. Stop worshipping these mzungus and letting them steal resources. They are not any better than black people. Africans who don't have money must trade time, labor, and resources to help each other.
