      We just arrived from our French Riviera holidays, and so sad we didnt have time anymore to see Menton ,Eze and Saint Tropez! Maybe we need to have a comeback as we love it very much especially our night swimming in the Nice beach and swimming in the olympic size swimming pool of Monaco!❤❤😊😊

    Really great video. I've been to all those places and you highlighted the best of the best. A lot of people don't realize that before Nice was part of France, it was part of the Kingdom of Sardinia, Italy. Hence, most of the buildings in Nice are Italianate architecture.

    Hello. Thank you again for your beautiful and informative videos! They are incredibly helpful as we research and plan our trip! We will be visiting Nice in mid July. We plan to visit Monaco and Eze. If we should only have time for one or two additional day trips, would you please share your recommendations? Also, do you have a list of your favorite restaurants and activities? Thank you, again!

    • @rivierago
      @rivierago  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Noelle, thanks a lot for your message! If you want to see another city it should probably be Cannes or Antibes. Grasse is great if you want to visit a perfumery. Menton is also beautiful. For all of the mentioned cities you probably only need a couple hours to discover, so you could spend the rest of the day on the beach or, if you go to Grasse, visit some surrounding villages (Gourdon, Cabris, St. Cézaire, Tourrette-sur-Loup).
      We like the many villages a lot, too. Try to get dinner on one of the village squares, the evenings in July just make you want to sit on a terrace and enjoy the still warm air.
      As for restaurants in Nice: we have a video coming up today! 🤩
      Have a great trip!!!

    I am in love with all of your videos! My head is spinning with so many wonderful ideas, but I will only be in the riviera for 5 nights/4 days. That said, we thought of eating at le plongeoir which I see pictured. Is there another restaurant which may have even better food with an equally breathtaking view? The food reviews are inconsistent and I’m afraid it may be cold mid October. Thank you so much!

    • @rivierago
      @rivierago  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! 🙏😊 Will you be in Nice? Mid October is great for lunch outdoors, evenings should be possible close to the sea with a sweater on. Further inland it gets too chilly in the evening. Depending on where you stay we’ll try to come up with a few specific restaurant ideas!

      @@mattyt3663 ok, here we go… if you’re willing to spend some money, you can’t go wrong with Michelin starred restaurants. Château Eza in Eze has 1 star and offers these beautiful views. Same as “La chèvre d’Or” in Eze. The Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat has great restaurants. In Monaco we recently discovered “Mona Restaurant”, great food, but no particular view. Great food also in all of Monaco’s top hotels such as Hotel de Paris, Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel, Hermitage, Le Metropole, Monte-Carlo Beach Hotel, …
      So these were rather pricey options. In Nice you’ll find great food at better prices. Hotel Negresco has a great restaurant (again not cheap, though). We loved La Merenda (closed Sat/Sun), great food at correct prices. The beach restaurants usually serve good food, too (won’t be open at night in October probably). Since we live closer to Cannes, we haven’t tried many restaurants in Nice, unfortunately…. really mostly the ones that we talk about in the restaurant video - where we actually asked friends to tell us where they like to get food in Nice.

    Love this video.Avoid the quiet side streets that lead to the train station and stick to main roads with lots of people as otherwise, you may encounter pickpockets and muggers and people pretending to be police who will ask to see your passport and then attempt to rob you! Don´t carry lots of cash.

      Hi, thanks! Yes, one if these places each day is perfectly doable! Depending on where you stay it’s probably easiest to take the train. @@naderg2 Thanks again for the compliment! Nice is kind of in the middle, so probably a good place to stay (though Cannes is cozier and has sandy beach). If you don't have a car while here, the interior is difficult. From Nice and all the other coastal cities, you can catch the train or buses. For what to do in those 3 cities please have a look at the "Top 10 things to do" videos we've done for all 3 of them. Depending on the age of the kids they might like Marineland in Antibes (marine theme parc), any beach, renting kayaks...

    Also in nice advisable to stay near the beach or old Town? Is it all walkable?

    • @rivierago
      @rivierago  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nice is not huge, so it's easy to find a place within 2 km of the beach and/or the old town. If you do, you can reach most places of interest on foot. If you're a bit further away, there's public transport. If you want to walk mostly, choose a place within a 2 km radius around the old town. The old town itself can be kind of noisy until late at night, maybe have that in mind.

      @@gauravjaggi5098 If it’s not possible to find a place according to your budget in Cannes, you can definitely stay in Nice and do all trips from there. But in June you might be able to find affordable places (eg via Airbnb) in Cannes.
