    In English we call them "brushes" not "coals". Useful video. Thanks.

    Grind carbon off then glue new one or second hand one on File to suit ....only 1 spot of glue on each corner and one in the middle job done

    You should've bought generic catbon brushes and chipped it smaller so you replace those worn out carbon brushes

    Hello, many thanks for your video.. I have a similar issue (I think my brushes are gone so far).. is there a way/place to buy the internal brushes part only? Many thanks in advance

      A google search might help you. I found some in Germany via Ebay but to expensive in my case.

    could you show how to replace the brushes?
    i’ve seen videos where people just add new brushes on these small motors but i have that same drill and would like to see how you would replace or add new brushes if possible.
    thanks

      At 4:45 he said he couldn't find new brushes online. I've looked myself and for this drill they sell replacement motors as a single piece for $20-$30 but no replacement brushes.

      If its new bring it back to where you bought it. If you cant dont use 2nd gear or swap that gear out. I bet that something is broken inside.

    My 14.4v drill has the same carbon brush type when i took apart my motor to fix it. May I know what model/type it is?

      looks like mine. i use the 12volt batteries in it.
      but the brushes on mine are worn out completely and it smokes. is it possible to replace or add new brushes?

    Worn brushes but, where did that bit of green wire come from? Coals=brushes? That's the first time I've ever heard that term before, thanks

    It's mean you didn't change of carbon? You directly changed motor? Is it?

  • @skali5834
    @skali5834 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    U open the motor but u didn't change the brushes . What u repair ? Only clean green wire from there and did nothing so after some days ur moror will be stop working because it brush melted.

      Correct. Still working and didnt want to spend 40 USD on brushes. The machine isnt worth it....

      @@DIYTechRepairs Hi, I have been doing a similar repair on a drill I bought 2nd hand, and found your video very useful. Unfortunately the brushes are completely worn away on mine though. I can’t find this type of Carbon brush for sale anywhere. Did you have any further luck locating any yourself? Thanks 😊
