So nice of you giving the woman 5k for a small souvenir. That money can go a long way for her family. Thank you for helping my countryman sir.
Not saying it wasn't nice of him, just saying that to them, that's 5 thousand dollars/Pesos but to him, depending on the exchange rate, it's anywhere from $250 to $400 pounds. Still a lot of money but nowhere near 5 thousand British Pounds. That would be 75 thousand to 90 thousand Pesos.
