    The highlights don’t show it, but Canada’s commitment to defence was impressive, especially their shot blocking in the last four minutes.

    Can someone tell me what the unsportsmanlike penalty was for at the end? Nobody is covering it? Was it something he said after the goal?

    I get it ... The tournament is in Ottawa. Radek Bonk spent most of his career playing in Ottawa. His son being part of Team Canada makes a good story. However, his skills are lacking compared to everyone else on the ice. He has trouble passing, receiving passes, shooting, protecting the puck, and skating. He cost Canada a medal last year. Don't put a guy on the team because of his dad.

      He deserves to be there hes proven that much on his junior team but he just shouldnt be on the top line. He should be on the third pair and the 2nd powerplay line. We should of picked Yakemchuk instead of that Beau Akey and he should be on the first powerplay line instead.

      If they were going to put an “Ottawa boy” on the team it would have been Yakemchuk, but they didn’t. They didn’t even invite him to camp.

      He plays for the Hunters which is why he’s there. He’s a Systems player which is what Team Canada is playing.

    they didnt show it here or live does anyone know what the guy did for unsportmanlike at the end of the gaame it probably deserved i just dont know what happened after the open net goal to get penalized for it. that check from behind is underserved players have got to stop turning their backs last second to retrieve the puck i know its a penalty but hate this trend they are doing

    Good way to start the Tourney. Wished they wouldn't play "Life is Life" by Opus when Canada scores. The song was a minor hit back in 1985 by this Austrian band. I would rather see something played by a Canadian artist or maybe I'm too patriotic.

    • @montrealsports29
      @montrealsports29 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      "Live is Life," not "Life is Life." That song actually went all the way to number 1 on the charts in Canada, so it was much more than a minor hit. It also got played on the radio way too often, but I guess that's what happens when a song goes all the way to number 1.

    • @hockeynightinbelmont9176

      I remember that song and the video that came with it. I know it went #1.Point is I can think of 1000's of Canadian songs that would be better.@@montrealsports29

    Grant has improved soooo much in the last year or two playing 18 hole
    stroke play with better players.
    Garrett has so much talent and can make birdies in bunches, but needs to work on control of the tee (hooking 4 irons into water) and not trying to hit 115 yd lot wedges (a shot no pro would ever hit).

    I watched the first period and it's clear while this team is talented, Canada left more talented players off the roster. Michael Misa is a better player than Yager or Beaudoin, Sennecke should be on the team. Parekh and Yakemchuk are better than Bonk and Akey.
    You're building a team to win a 2 week tournament where skill outshines "chemistry" 90% of the time. It was obvious last year that Canada lacked top talent when the only player being capable of generating offense by himself was Celebrini.
