I get it ... The tournament is in Ottawa. Radek Bonk spent most of his career playing in Ottawa. His son being part of Team Canada makes a good story. However, his skills are lacking compared to everyone else on the ice. He has trouble passing, receiving passes, shooting, protecting the puck, and skating. He cost Canada a medal last year. Don't put a guy on the team because of his dad.
He deserves to be there hes proven that much on his junior team but he just shouldnt be on the top line. He should be on the third pair and the 2nd powerplay line. We should of picked Yakemchuk instead of that Beau Akey and he should be on the first powerplay line instead.
they didnt show it here or live does anyone know what the guy did for unsportmanlike at the end of the gaame it probably deserved i just dont know what happened after the open net goal to get penalized for it. that check from behind is underserved players have got to stop turning their backs last second to retrieve the puck i know its a penalty but hate this trend they are doing
Good way to start the Tourney. Wished they wouldn't play "Life is Life" by Opus when Canada scores. The song was a minor hit back in 1985 by this Austrian band. I would rather see something played by a Canadian artist or maybe I'm too patriotic.
"Live is Life," not "Life is Life." That song actually went all the way to number 1 on the charts in Canada, so it was much more than a minor hit. It also got played on the radio way too often, but I guess that's what happens when a song goes all the way to number 1.
I remember that song and the video that came with it. I know it went #1.Point is I can think of 1000's of Canadian songs that would be better.@@montrealsports29
Grant has improved soooo much in the last year or two playing 18 hole stroke play with better players. Garrett has so much talent and can make birdies in bunches, but needs to work on control of the tee (hooking 4 irons into water) and not trying to hit 115 yd lot wedges (a shot no pro would ever hit).
"Back in front".... back ahead.... back over.... back down.... back across.... back... back.... BACK Solid win for Canada but I find Gord Miller's commentating insufferable. backbackback
I watched the first period and it's clear while this team is talented, Canada left more talented players off the roster. Michael Misa is a better player than Yager or Beaudoin, Sennecke should be on the team. Parekh and Yakemchuk are better than Bonk and Akey. You're building a team to win a 2 week tournament where skill outshines "chemistry" 90% of the time. It was obvious last year that Canada lacked top talent when the only player being capable of generating offense by himself was Celebrini.
@@alexanderprotasov3666 Are you slow? even when Russia was playing Canada always beat their asses easily, Russia last won gold at the juniors in 2011, nobody is scared of Russia, they suck at hockey. You're delusional.
I was at both games. Finland played better than either the USA or Germany. The Fins were up against a very good team. Let’s see how Finland does against Germany this afternoon.

The highlights don’t show it, but Canada’s commitment to defence was impressive, especially their shot blocking in the last four minutes.
That open net goal was a thing of beauty, best goal ever 👏
What was the unsportsmanlike call?
@v7angelz123
Celebrating to much
Can someone tell me what the unsportsmanlike penalty was for at the end? Nobody is covering it? Was it something he said after the goal?
I'm guessing he got up in the Finland faces, maybe even a shove or two

Parekh & Misa should be on this team
No, he doesn't, nepotism as always, ruins It
If they were going to put an “Ottawa boy” on the team it would have been Yakemchuk, but they didn’t. They didn’t even invite him to camp.
He plays for the Hunters which is why he’s there. He’s a Systems player which is what Team Canada is playing.
They’re playing sharp, crisp hockey
Mckenna only getting 11 minutes is a joke. Hes the best player on the ice.
Might be hurt a bit
Their sheltering him, saving him for the big games.

Flew in from Miami Beach, BOAC, didn't get to bed last night...
If you pause it at 2:03 you can see the on ice cameraman.
That’s a 2:00 minor Too Many Men
The Man From Glad on skates.

Can will play Sweden for gold and win 5-4 in an epic battle.
4-5
Gord Miller sucks.. a lot

They just lost to Latvia either they’re frauds or Latvia is nasty
First goal should not have counted he was in the net on his own
He wasn't impacting the goalies movement in any way. It's a good goal.
If there was interference, the Finnish Coach would have challenged but he didn't
he was pushed in there so it doesn't matter
Финны вообще ни какие!
And we do not need terroruzzia to participate. They can play with North-Korea and Iran 😂
@@tosa305meaningless win. You can't play with a real team. 😊

2016 final we beat russia easily. Russian hockey
has gone down since, modern generation is horrible 😂
Atleast he not Ray ferro
Если судит по этой игре, у финов ОЧЕНЬ слабая команда
Yeah, Finland vs Canada is usually a great game, but Canada dominated for the most part

Slow start as usual. They'll pick it up.
