Bakkies played a hard game of rugby and rough up the opposition but he's one of the great locks in rugby. Mobile, hard hitting great in the tight play and line outs. Cheers to you Bakkies I wish you were still playing.
So many salty people commenting on this - regardless of how much he's hurt your feelings, every single successful team has a player that operates on a blurred line of clean/dirty. Its always been hilarious to me that everyone will shine McCaw's knob yet take a massive issue with Bakkies. Look a little past those tremendous blinders you've got on and appreciate a stalwart of the game. He's got a world cup, several super rugby titles, Heineken/Euro cup titles, and Currie Cup all under his belt. Very few players have or will ever achieve what he did.
I'm so glad hes not playing anymore. Dude use to scare the hell out of what he might do to my a.b's. Lol. But that's a credit to him and how played a real man's game

Which South African accent? There are several. And you realize that most Springboks are Afrikaaners. So English is not their first language. And we do not need to speak in an accent that is comfortable for you. Its our damn accent, if you cannot understand it then tough shit. Im sure I would not understand yours

Being an enforcer, thus being hard and being dirty is different. Not saying Bakkies isn't one of the greats, but others such as Brooke, Shelford, Burger, Dallaglio, Kaino and Collins all played hard without being dirty. +JoziGirl Who is that?
Bakkies Botha the Inforcer a worthy opponent and true measuring stick.
+JoziGirl I disagree with you. Caveman was one of the hardest men to play the game, but was a average rugby player. That is why in his entire rugby career he only won 2 trophies. Not only that but a few teams trough out the years had his number, especially the Irish.
And that is what made Bakkies a legend of the game. He was as hard as they get and one hell of a rugby player.
Bakkies Botha the Inforcer will have to agree to disagree.
Russia needs a team
They do have a team bru
Ask some South African plyers to come and help Russia to build a great team
One of the games greats 👍

+SistorCarrera Now that McCaw is gone, you might get your wish.
@ zed1207.....LMFAO
Why south african accent is hard to understand??
Which South African accent? There are several. And you realize that most Springboks are Afrikaaners. So English is not their first language. And we do not need to speak in an accent that is comfortable for you. Its our damn accent, if you cannot understand it then tough shit. Im sure I would not understand yours
@@Sabundy I understand them easy. I'm impressed tjey can cut in and out of Afrikaans and English.
@@realMaverickBuckley most South Africans are bilingual, and many are trilingual
What is a S A accent. There are more than a dozen accent in S A.
It's no that Hodd to understand...
Hy is n beast
Is this a joke channel?! Botha was distinctly average.
If Botha was average then the rest of the rugby world must have been poor.

@@bakkiesbothatheenforcer1638 Your logic doesn’t follow at all. Just because one player was average, it means half will be better and half will be worse. He played with a great lock, but he was not one.
@@ainsleyspongebob2877 I think your keyboard is broken.
Had a hard head
Etzebeth is clearly a better player than Bakkies. More strong, more clean.
Based on what? Stronger? You don't know what you are talking about but thank you for your comment.
they ddnt call him BAKKies 4 nothing
Absolutely brother 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
He is a real south African 1
2:52 anyone translate please?
I like living on the edge
@@bakkiesbothatheenforcer1638 thanks mate
Being an enforcer, thus being hard and being dirty is different. Not saying Bakkies isn't one of the greats, but others such as Brooke, Shelford, Burger, Dallaglio, Kaino and Collins all played hard without being dirty.
Could name a lot of locks that were better than him as well. Eales, Johnson, Willie John Mcbride, Meads, Matfield, and soon Retallick, Etzebeth, PSDT, Whitelock and Itoje will overtake him.
A disgrace.
Thanks for your comment, even the unknowledgeable is welcome here.
Shouldnt go aroubd headbuttibg halfbacks- from behibd- you gutless bully. Brad Thorn had him fucked....big guys are wimps when they meet a tough guy
I cant understand a word some of these guys say
Well.... You do realize that English is not their first language?
Grow up with an afrikaaner grandma and then it will be easier
Bakkies was a Hodd Bostid who played rugby for Saffafreeka!
Enforcer against what then??
Whe?
