Can some one please explain to me why table tennis players wipe their sweaty hands on the board while playing? I noticed that they usually do this after the ball is caught in the net and there is a break in the game. I would think that the sweat residue on the board would be more of a disadvantage to the player if the ball was to land on it. Wiping their sweaty hands on the board just seems counter-productive to me yet they continue to employ this strange action.

It is true that they wipe their hands on the table, however, they do it either next to the net or on the edge of the table where the ball isn't so likely to land at.

ITTF and WTT should get their acts together with regard to rubber testing. Ma Long’s blade was sent for testing after he won the match. I would have thought that the players surrender their blades to the referee for testing before the start of the tournament. And why testing is not being done during that time ? For safe keeping???

Because American player Liang Jishan just changed his blade without umpire permission after testing the previous one, so that would be much reliable to test the blade directly after finishing the game

It is just people used to the old angle thinking this is worse than the old one. But it is unfair to say it is the “worst”, as I can easily point out 5 angles that are even worse than this one.
