I just listened to The Outer Limits album on a long drive recently. This song always makes for a memorable journey, the musical sections and transitions are all pure genius. Keeping a song this long interesting all the way through is not an easy task, Voivod delivers. Always do even after Piggy left the planet. We can thank Dan for keeping this band alive and thriving. Brilliant song brilliantly executed in this performance…bravo Dan!!!
I have a favourite VOIVOD album for each period of my life, and this period's favourite is definitely THE OUTER LIMITS! Jack Luminous is a masterpiece and IMO it shows the band's greatness at its peak. If you compare it to other metal bands who were trying to sound progressive in those years, which used to overcharge their songwriting with useless baroquism, just to show how skilled and technical they were (any reference to Dream Theater is purely casual...), well... in this song VOIVOD is simply great just because the guys don't need to show it off. Every section of this track suits perfectly the artistic aim of the band, including the sharp-as-a-tack lyrics, which I always keep in mind on every election day. Merci vraiment monsieur Mongrain pour avoir donné une nouvelle vie à ce group fantastique avec votre excellente maitrise musicale! Chewy rocks! Piggy is proud! VOIVOD lives!

wow what a spot on live version! never seen them play this live at one of their shows. they picked a great 'replacement ( hate to use that word) for Piggy . he even adds his own accents /touches on guitar to the original songs , in a good way though
