I noticed something about the custom. The groves to were the shadow figures red markings were present on the figure thus even when you paint it over you can see an obvious outline were the red markings once were.
@@wakeangel2001 Couldn't you just sand it, or fill in the gaps with apoxie sculpt? or is there something in the figure that prevents you from doing that?

I like how accurate it is. I always liked the spines super sonic had back then.
If you take some apoxie sculpt or clay, and smudge it on the spines then take a card or something thin and scrape of the extra, that might fill in the grooves from shadows stripes.

Tenchincally sonic had these quill patterns was also in sonic 2 and sonic3, hyper sonic also had this since he was basically a recolour of regular super sonic

this one wasn't so bad. but, I think you could've tried removing the lines that outline shadow's streaks. I think a good sanding tool or a hobby knife can scrape it away with enough practice. Oh! or that model putt you use. the paint job and shoes look amazing. I especially like the detail to the arms. back when I used to customize I never painted my arms because they looked bad when I did lol

I started to type a comment discussing the possible reasons for the spine pattern change (including blaming the limitations of the Dreamcast model, like maybe something to do with the way the polygons were rendered in his top spine made it digitally less flexible than the others). Then I opened a Sonic 3 sprite sheet on another tab and realized Sonic's top spine _never_ stuck straight up quite as far as all the others between Sonic 2 and Sonic Heroes. It kinda' sticks diagonally out backward in Sonic 3 and Sonic R.
Honestly I think the reason Shadow's top spine doesn't stick up is specifically because he was based on the Super Sonic model at the time, and they didn't bother to change it when they changed Super Sonic. Maybe somewhere in a parallel universe, that particular design was never used for Super Sonic's spine pattern, and Shadow naturally has all of his spines stick straight up. ^_^

A couple notes; I think you should've tried to round out the eyebrows a bit more, and once again, used Plastic-Putty on the seams, but overall not bad! The gold in particular was a genius touch! =)

@@Super-Sonic-Mikey E-mail him- there's an e-mail address on that "disclaimer" at the beginning of every video. As of the time I'm typing this, *his commissions are temporarily closed,* though.
He got swamped with way too many action figures people were sending him to modify, and he had to stop new requests from coming in so he can catch up on all the projects he had already promised to do.
