Thank you so much for watching.
Fiona, you are just a Clay Wizard! Thank you for sharing this free tutorial, your talent is only surpassed by your generosity xx
Thank you so much :)
Every time the signature music starts, I go to my happy place. I know that for the next few moments in time, I'm going to relax, distress and most importantly watch a fabulously talented artist create beauty and sophistication from a lump of clay!
Just amazing! Thank you.
Thank you very much :)
well said, Scout About
I don't even do polymer clay, I'm just here watching your mesmerizing movements and listening to your soothing voice! You're my meditation. :)
Fiona has the best voice. I think Audible should get her to record audio books
Awww, thanks so much Super Peppi :)
Thank you so much as well Kirrily :)
How can you resist trying it?! I love this.... my best coping mechanism and my own meditation
@@aquilathered8444 Easy: I'm dirt poor, I simply cannot afford to buy clay, tools, a pasta machine, an oven, etc. I also wouldn't have a place to put the new tools. Nor time to actually play with them. Having a hobby is only a dream for some of us.
I love your professionalism and excellent instructions, I am fairly new to polymer clay and I admit you are most definitely on my go-to list of tutors. P.S your voice is lovely
Thank you so much Kirrily :)
Your fish looks like blown glass. There is no limit to your imagination and talent. You are so much fun!!! Thank you so much!
Awww, thank you so much, that is a lovely compliment 🙂
Absolutely love the look of this cane. A little geometric with a hint of flowers! Thank you once again for sharing your talent and time for a great tut!!!
You're welcome, thanks so much Ellen 🙂
Fiona, you have such marvelous talent! Each cane is more beautiful than the last! I don't know how you do it, but I'm grateful that you do! I simply love it!
Thanks so much Rachel :)
Another absolutely marvelous tutorial. As someone previously said, as soon as your signature music starts, I can feel my self relaxing and calming. This is just beautiful, I look forward to trying it. And when you showed the fish at the end, I literally gasped... it's fantastic!
Awww, thanks so much Deborah, I am so glad you enjoyed it :)
How absolutely incredible! I would be working on this for days! But seriously, really great, detailed tutorial. Thank you Fiona!
Thank you very much :)
Absolutely love your fish Fiona. Thankyou for all the lessons you give to us and all the inspiration you instill in me.

Thank you so much :)
You make me happy with your videos and artistic individuality! Thanks Fiona!
Thanks so much :)
Fiona that is an absolutely gorgeous cane! Thank you ever so much for sharing with us. The cutting part makes me a little nervous but I’m sure when it is sitting right in front of you it wouldn’t be so bad. I was so thankful to see you cut through the whole cane and not just where the curve will sit. 🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰
It will be fine, take it slow, and protect your hands, thanks so much :)
You can tell you’re the expert cane maker this is fabulous ❤
I ma so glad you like it, thanks so much 🙂
Absolutely stunning Fiona. Thank you
You're welcome, thanks so much Leona :)
Outstanding artistry and craftsmanship. Can't believe it's taken YT so long to recommend your channel to me, considering all the junk they do try to pawn off on you. Looking forward to delving into your back catalog of work- countless hours of relaxing, stress-free content for me to absorb. You've converted on old model maker into a believer in the finer points of polymer clay artistry, and for that, a hearty thanks. Can't wait for your next one.
Thank you very much for your wonderful comment, I really appreciate it, and hope you enjoy some of my other videos too :)
@@FionaAbelSmithPolyOriginals Certainly, and thank you for the reply. Have a great rest of your week.
Love your work Fiona, it never disappoints, just stunning colours, I just love watching you work, I wish I could delve into your brain to see how you come up with all your ideas, patterns, theory's the whole lot. You are just brilliant, thank you so much for the time you take to present us with these beautiful canes and pieces following. Muchly appreciated, 💜🙏💐💖
Thank you very much Jojo Brew :)
Wow! Just wow! I haven’t even watched it yet. That’s just an incredibly fantastic design.
I’m so happy when you post, Fiona.
Almost finished and want to say you’ve got an engineering mind with a perfect amount of doing the unusual. Then there’s a good dose of obsessive compulsive that I’m so thankful for. Just delightful.
ha ha , that made me giggle, I will have to ask my husband how spot on you are ;) thanks so much :)
Oh my goodness that fish is so darn cute. Love this video!

Love the blue one.
Thanks so much :)
please, please, please do a tutorial on your coral fish!!!!!!!!!! It is absolutely breathtaking!!!! I just love all your videos!!!
Thanks so much :) I will not be doing a fish tutorial for any of the recent fish I have made, as I use a base form technique that I learnt in a workshop given by the wonderful Adam Thomas Reese. Obvioulsy I would not dream of showing a technique that another polymer artist has as their own tutorial - I am sure you understand. I am so glad though that you like my fish ;) Adam is going to be doing workshops on his fish in July, here is a link to his Facebook page with details, if you are interested ;) facebook.com/profile.php?id=100052214511971

Hi Fiona, thank you so much for your wonderful tutorials !!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanted to ask you what polymer clay you use. Thanks again for your valuable shares !!!! Silvia
Hi Silvia, thank you so much :) I mention in all my tutorial which clay I am using for that project, but outside of that I tend to use all the well known, recognised brands, and I like them all. They all have very slightly different properties, so I switch between them depending on what I am making. I started with FIMO Soft as it was easily available in my area, so tend to use that most, but I also love Premo, Kato, Cernit and the newer Cos Clay too, although that has very different properties to the others. I recommend that people start with what is easily available to them and experiment with the other brands once they are more used to working with polymer clay, as it is then easier to spot the difference, and decide which clays you like best. I hope that helps a bit ;) Thank you :)
@@FionaAbelSmithPolyOriginals Thanks a lot again, your advice is really valuable !!!!!!!!
