I hope that is of some help to ya,I’m approaching issue 9 myself and it would make sense for me to request a duplicate issue and use the spare pcb board to test the lights then at the appropriate time wire it up properly when stage 45 pcb board 2 arrives
So it seems that the PCB board that failed, is something someone didn't account for from the beginning. Too much load? Cheap materials? Bad design? (I'd say it's bad design, like a lot of the other issues with this build). What a horrible way to build up excitement, only to get cut down near the end. I made it through the first third of the ship before stopping my subscription due to cost but have been watching everyone else build this and sometimes I am glad I stopped when I did. That rat's nest of wiring is beyond crazy! Some suggestions I've seen about starting over with LED strips seems to make the most sense, though the retrofit would be a pain in the backside, but would yield the best results.
It's so annoying, it really is but there are ways and means I can continue which will light it just fine. Granted the batteries won’t last as long, but I can use rechargeables. I honestly cannot wait for it to end; 6 more issues won't come quick enough.
Eaglemoss started the Partwork about 3 years ago now, went bust, and then Fanhome took it over last year. However, I believe you cannot sign up for it anymore as they've discontinued it. But will honour current subscribers to be able to finish it.
@@Francis362003 I don’t believe so but it’s been asked for many times. Every time of these companies ask ‘what would you like to see next?’ I always say 1701 refit/A :)
Fingers crossed you get it sorted! 🤞
Worst case is I just run it off one pack, with rechargeables.

I hope you can get it all fixed.
Thanks Stephen.
