In this particular issue, I personally suffer when seeing so much neglect and cruelty in muslim majority countries, where dogs simply die of starvation, thirst and plainly abuse to the point of death sometimes by these societies. Whenever I confront this issue with 99.9 fellow muslims, I get the usual all scholars agree with the bukhari hadith when we already know many are false, so the rebuttal hadith I get is that there is another hadith when the prophet prohibited keeping dogs inside his home, because the angel gibril refused to enter..... So.....please help me and help all of us on this issue. What do you think of this last hadith ? Thank you in advance. ....I wish I knew arabic and could point out all these points with reference, why? Well I want to make a channel about this issue but I need the references. I am tired and it breaks my heart to see these poor animals suffer so much.
What about the other Hadeeth that say that Angels don’t enter the house which has a dog in it. And the one where two “Qirats” (great amounts of good deeds such as mount Ohud) are lost every day for the one who keeps a dog? (Other than for Guarding, sheep herding, and hunting). (Non muslim here) I have heard some Muslims who are pr"o having dogs as pets say to me that those hadiths which prohibit dogs as pets like 2 qirat good deeds decreased or angels dont enter houses with dogs generally refer to dangerous rabid dogs or dogs with diseases etc" the problem with such explanations is that they have no evidence to prove this assumption other than "Prophet was a just, he would not have banned dogs altogether, he must be referring to dangerous dogs" which is a theological assumption. There is no other evidence for or against to back it up. Even one could argue that there is evidence against it since if those hadiths were referring to dangerous dogs etc, they would be specifically mentioned in yhe hadith like "angels dont enter houses where there is a rabid dog" etc but the hadiths are general. Also there are some other hadiths where Muhammad says that "it is permissible to kill rabid dogs even in sancuary" etc so there are hadiths where rabid dogs can be specified so which leads me to think that if Muhammad was referring to rabid dogs, he would have soecified it.
So what about the youth in surah kaff (the cave)? they had a dog in the cave with them and even allah spoke of the dog the mild affection. so I seriously doubt that based on this surah.

English translation : Vol. 4, Book 28, Hadith 3210
Jabir reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say "Limit going out after tranquility, for verily there are creations of Allah (whom) He disperses. So if you hear the barking of dogs or the braying of donkeys, then seek refuge with Allah from the Devil."

Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudri:
I heard that the people asked the Prophet of Allah (ﷺ): Water is brought for you from the well of Buda'ah. It is a well in which dead dogs, menstrual clothes and excrement of people are thrown. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) replied: Verily water is pure and is not defiled by anything.
Abu Dawud said I heard Qutaibah b. Sa'id say: I asked the person in charge of the well of Bud'ah about the depth of the well. He replied: At most the water reaches pubes. Then I asked: Where does it reach when its level goes down ? He replied: Below the private part of the body.
Abu Dawud said: I measured the breadth of the well of Buda'ah with my sheet which I stretched over it. I them measured it with the hand. It measured six cubits in breadth. I then asked the man who opened the door of garden for me and admitted me to it: Has the condition of this well changed from what it had originally been in the past ? He replied: No. I saw the color of water in this well had changed.

(9)Chapter: The Command To Kill dogs
It was narrated that Az-Zuhri said:
"Ibn As-Sabbaq said: "Maimunah told me that Jibril, peace be upon him, said to the Messenger of Allah 'We (Angles) do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture, The next day the Messenger of Allah commanded that all dogs be killed, even small dogs."'

@@muhammadibnkilab7026 I obviously don’t accept that Hadith what do you even mean angels wear scared of dogs. I know that hadith my mom has told me this one .. I gived her the same reaction what I’m giving you. This Hadith can’t be true an angel who Is scared of an animal ? A dog I created by Allah no way that an angel would be scared of a dog😶 the logic in this hadith

That’s not the same thing at all is it? “Halal” and “pure” here do not mean the same thing. Cats are widely considered to be pure yet they’re not described as "halal".
Pig is pure according to imam Malik's school of madinah. Watch fiqh videos of mufti or google it
