One-line Read Aloud Trick - should you use it in PTE Speaking?

- There have been many rumours regarding the One-line strategy in PTE Speaking, specifically reading only 1 sentence in Read Aloud. In this video, I will show you what happens when I use it in the official mock tests.

I tried in an actual exam. Unfortunately, I got only 60 in speaking, but I did well in speaking. I didn't understand what was wrong.

Yes, I placed the mic a little bit away bcoz I speak a bit loud, but I tested my voice three times or more before starting the exam
@@Stimulated it is unreasonable that test takers have to worry about the microphone positioning. The system has to be bullet proof and should leave no doubts on one's mind after they take the test. Nobody should worry about the mic position, but their actual English proficiency.

Hi Moni, If I use this strategy I'll get high marks for Speaking, but what about READING score portion? That should be going down since the very low content that I covered from the passage. What is your opinion ?

i think pte practice test have some bugs bcz u are slow in describe image and also everyone on youtube got 90 in speaking why even in last test u did 2-3 mistake
As mentioned many many times, the real speaking score is around 120 in the system, even if I skip Retell lecture I can still get 89 speaking. My speed in DI is also appropriate, you don’t need to speak too fast to score high.

Mam what was the difference when u bought 70 at the first then 90 can u tell us.
In the first experiment I only read the first sentence in each passage, in the second experiment, I tried to mix them up, sometimes reading the 1st, sometimes the 2nd or the last sentence.
I have got less while using this trick

What was your problem?
Don't listen to these tips and tricks folks. They are all misleading and risky. Just try to improve your English. The results will follow. Also, do not take PTE. Very unreliable scoring. Just study for IELTS, and take that test!
I believe it’s a loophole and they might fix it soon. PTE has a very sophisticated AI scoring system with a large database, they are also aiming to be accepted in other English speaking countries for immigration so hopefully they will review and update the system to match the standards.
@@MoniPTEMAGIC thanks for the thoughtful response Moni. I think AI is not ready for prime time yet. A lot of native speakers are receiving low speaking scores. This is concerning. One may receive top scores on PTE mock tests and still receive low scores in PTE actual exam. It is unfortunate that many people have to take the test the 3-4 times to hope that AI will give them score they need at one of those attempts. It costs a lot of money for an unreliable testing system. IELTS, on the other hand, measures the actual English competency.
@@81tubex IELTS is great but there is no guarantee that there is no bias or external influence when it comes to human marking in Writing and Speaking. Every English test has its pros and cons, and at this stage PTE is still being accepted by the Deparment as well as many institutions, so probably they still consider it as a credible English proficiency test. Students choose the test according to how easy it is to score high and I think you have a better chance of getting an 8 Writing in PTE compared to IELTS.
Ielts? How can get 7.0 all bands in Ielts? It is impossible for me and maybe for others, while I can get PTE65+ in my first exam.

It works 100%. I got 90 in speaking with using this method. You guys don’t need to read full sentence. 10 words are enough to get a high score.
