@@daeity1 I have a theory: I think since angels are naturally on Lumen sages' side, they don't need to summon angels via their hair, to restrain and control them at all, like angels are totally happily here because they hate Witches so much so they work hand to hand. Lumen sages only need their hair to summon beings that didn't submit to them. If Witches need to use their hair it's because demons are belligerent and dangerous and they could turn their back on them at the first opportunity like Gomorrah often does btw (that little PoS LMAO). If demons had a different nature, Witches could very probably summon them without their hair.

( i'm looking at you, grace and glory ) it wouldn't come as a surprise if they really did give *some* sages the ability to only summon them through peacock feathers... i saw some because i believe this draws a plausible variant to how Unforgiven/Eternal Testimony(?) is given to the elders of the Umbra.
Were they originally planning to have it so you're fighting Loptr at the same time as Bayonetta and Jeanne during the first games Records of Time? They should have kept that. That would have been so cool
