Just a note :- 1. Data from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) showed the number of private-hire chauffeur and self-drive cars on Singapore’s roads rose from nearly 19,000 vehicles at end-2014, to over 77,000 vehicles five years later. Still hovering at 70+k 2. The taxi population, meanwhile, has halved from a peak of 28,736 in end-2014, to around 14,000 currently. ~ therefore, it is clearly defined that corporates are pushing the COEs to all highs, because there is a demand for PHV rentals. Money used to generate more money = who loses??? The average Singaporeans who cannot afford a vehicle and need PHV drive. Is the SG Gov really caring about the people ??? Are all those Top talents who have S$100+k salaries cannot understand simple basic statistics ??? I think telling half truths is as bad as lying ~ so does PAP lies??? Bewildering ponder then.
@@angxiang3186unrealistic to compare with data from 10 years ago, when the rise in coe only happened the past 2 years. To make your point use data comparing between end 2019/early 2020 pre covid vs now
@@carr16k U will never make to management level - U are shallow, as not to check n verify; but must be “spoon-fed”. ~ In 2022, there were around 73 thousand private hire cars, both self-drive and chauffeured, in Singapore. The rising number of private-hire cars are presumably related to the growing ride-hailing market in Singapore.
Nice Video coverage. unfortunately, the COE price is too high and unlikely to attract much crowds. Most COE bidders are corporations in block bids.
