Agreed regarding the prelude's sound and pianistic challenges. Feuilles mortes was clearly meant to be heard following Brouillards-I intend to cover it at some point.
Amazing and I can’t believe it was only 5 days ago... just listened to the whole preludes and this is definitely one of my favourites. Bravo on the video!
Very informative and insightfull video! In someway this prelude reminds me of “in the hot house” by Sorabji. Debussy’s music undoubtedly must have had had much influence of him. Do you think you could make a video on one of Sorabji’s works?
Thank you! Yes, many of Sorabji's works are incredibly interesting, though they are extremely challenging both pianistically and analytically (at least for me). He's definitely on my list of composers to cover.
Hello Mr. Bacchetto, your videos are remarkable. Thank you so much for your kindness to share your knowledge to the world. God bless you 😊
brilliant analysis, keep up the excellent work, an analysis of debussys "Voiles" would be sweet as sugar... 🥰😇😊
his most fascinating prelude, unmistakably sounds like mists. not hard but tough to play delicately. Dead Leaves is interesting too.
